Kyle and I had been best friends since middle school. We were so close, we were like siblings. He was always there for me, and I could always count on him to make me laugh.
Little did I know, Kyle had had a massive crush on me for a while. I had been completely oblivious to it.
One night, he told me that he had discovered an amazing secret. He had figured out how to turn himself into a ginger cat. He said that it was a power he had inherited from his family, and he was so excited to be able to share it with me.
He made it his mission to come visit me every night. When I went to bed, he would come into my room and turn into a ginger cat. He would curl up next to me and purr until I fell asleep.
At first, I thought it was a bit strange, but I soon got used to it. I realized Kyle was trying to show me how much he cared about me. I started to suspect he had feelings for me, but I wasn't sure.
One night, I finally mustered up the courage to ask him about it. He told me he had been in love with me for a long time, and that was why he had been coming to see me every night.
My heart melted and I felt the same way. From that day forward, we were inseparable. We spent every night cuddling up together in my bed, and I couldn't have been happier.
