(A/N: Had this one sat in the drafts for near enough 2 weeks lol. My bad for the lack of updates, I've been focusing my attention on my other books.)
Days later, and your mind was still reeling from your eventful walk with Luci. On one hand, you were glad that it hadn't changed the dynamic of your relationship or made things awkward. On the other hand, you'd caught her staring at you more when she thought you weren't looking or the fact that she'd started sneaking into your room more often.
Which brings you to now. It was a cloudy afternoon as rain threatened to fall over the city and the surrounding areas. You, Luci, and Kat were lying lazily on the sofa. Luci was to your left, sat as close as physically possible whilst rapidly flicking through TV channels, and Kat was to you right. You had an arm around Kat as you were mindlessly scrolling through some brain-rot social media app on your phone, laughing at shitposts with the Neko.
Scathach and Petra were elsewhere, probably trying to summon some sort of abomination. Monic was keeping busy, doing cleaning despite your protests that she wasn't obligated to clean up after you, she relented all the same. The most concerning absence was Apophis. She was probably off killing puppies or something.
Tapping the remote a couple more times, Luci indirectly skipped past Kat's favourite show, alerting the Neko.
Kat: "Hey! Go back!"
This statement in itself caused a devilish smirk to form on Luci's face as she began flipping channels even faster.
Kat: "GO BACK GO BACK GO BACK!"
Luci: "Make me."
In an instant, Kat dives straight over you and into Luci as they begin to wrestle for the TV remote. Placing your phone into your pocket, you watched the two fight for a few seconds until you spot an opening. Snatching the remote for yourself, you jump over the back of the couch.
Kat: "Hey! That's cheating!"
(Y/N): "Nuh-uh"
Luci was the first to react, jumping after you with Kat hot on her tail. Shit, you really hadn't thought that one through. Spinning in place, you dash off up the stairs and straight down the hallway, barging into the first door you saw, firmly slamming it behind you.
Wait, who's room was this?
You stood confused at the room before you. The walls were painted with deep, rich colors, reminiscent of a twilight sky, casting a sensual ambience throughout the room.
A massive four-poster bed, draped in luxurious silk sheets, sat at the opposing end of the room. Its dark wooden frame carved with intricate serpentine patterns. The most eye-catching possession, a grand antique mirror, hung opposite the bed, reflecting the room's beauty in every angle.
The morning glow filtered through elegant floor-to-ceiling windows, casting silvery ripples onto the floor. The most eye-catching item of the collection was a large, golden mirror. It looked worn, but well-kept.
The scent of exotic flowers lingered in the air, emanating from a garden of orchids and night-blooming jasmine by the windowsill.
Eyes landing on the bed, your gaze meets a pair of golden eyes as you spot the Lamia.
Ah, that's why you'd never seen this room before. Not willingly, anyway.
(Y/N): "Nope!"
Turning around, you swiftly fumble with the door handle, which wasn't budging.
Apophis: "What's the rush? Maybe you should lie down."
Out the corner of your eye, you spot her purple tail snaking it's way over towards you. You were pretty sure your life flashed before your eyes.
