Exclusively made because of all the subcategories, here are some things to do if you're artsy and bored. If you make anything here, take a picture of it and post it to social media or print it out and post it into a scrap book.

 1) Origami. Japanese paper folding is a popular, fun, and artistic way of passing time. Just grab some paper and look up online guides. Add some color, decorate your room with your favorite creations, or use your origami as dolls! Origami also makes wonderful presents.

 2) Learn to sew. If one of your older family members has a sewing kit, bust it out and look up online guides on how to sew. Learning how to sew opens up doors to creating new and stylish things.

2.5) Learn to knit. Similarly to learning how to sew, knitting is a versatile and a stylish way to create new things. Knitting is also a little easier, since you can take your yarn anywhere and carry on from where you left off. Knitting is also similar to crocheting, and if you learn how to knit you, it's easy to learn to crochet.

 3) Draw. Draw anything! Draw yourself, draw your pet, draw your friend, draw someone you know in a character's clothes, draw your room, draw in a different artstyle, draw something new, draw with colors, draw monsters that are really just animals, draw feelings like people, draw furniture like animals, draw food like people, draw what makes you happy! Just draw everything!

 4) Learn different knots. If you have string or rope, learn to knot. It might be useful later on. Impress your friends with bowlines, hitches, and overhands!

 5) Make jewelry. Similarly to learn knots, there are a lot of cool bracelets you can make by just weaving a few strings together. Make some for your family and friends, or for yourself. Add some beads and charms to personalize your jewelry. Look up guides online. My favorite are square knot bracelets.

 6) Update your accessories. If you have charms, ribbons, or beads, add them to hats, jewelry, and bags.

 7) Make toys. Crochet yarn animals, needle felt wool into bunnies, whittle wood into cars. There are plenty of online guides you can look up to create little toys as presents or decorations.

 8) Modify your blankets and pillows. Sew designs into them and patch up any worn out spots.

8.5) Make a new blanket/quilt. Get together fabric scraps, ribbons, lace, whatever else you have that you can piece together. Sew a name or a design into it and give it to someone as a present.

 9) Make windchimes.

 10) Make dreamcatchers.

 11) Start a garden.

 12) Decorate flower pots.

 13) Recycle! Do you have a recycling bin at home? (If you don't, you should probably get one) Dig through it and grab everything in it. Use jars as containers for small things like paper clips and bobby pins; milk containers can be used as watering jugs; newspapers can be used in your work space as a paint drip catcher. Think about what you can do to reuse those things in that bin and work on reusing it if you're bored.

 14) Create a hut out of sticks and stones in your backyard. If you live in a woody area, grab all the huge sticks and stones you have in your yard and strategically lean them against a tree to make it look like a tent. Make a clearing in the middle and make sure there is a way to get in.

 15) Start a scrapbook.

 16) Create things that are out of your comfort zone. Even if you're really good at whatever you like to do, like sewing, writing, or drawing, try out something that you're not good at yet. For instance, if you limit yourself to writing romance, write horror; if your drawing style has been the same for a while, adopt a new drawing style.
