Sitting next to Sophia, it feels hard not to hug her and start to cry and tell her sorry, sorry for this cruel fate for both of us but I won't let anything put me down anymore.

"You are so weird, Aunt Helen," Sophia said while sitting on the bench swinging her leg up and down.

"Me?"

"Yeah! You look lost every time you are near me, is there something wrong with me?"

"Of course not, sweetheart. You just remember me with someone. Someone as pretty as you"

"Don't lie on me... I don't look like a normal girl at my age, my hair is so short, my skin is always pale and. And I can't play and run like normal kids. Daddy told me I was going to be okay when he comes. but it seems like I would never be okay, he would never come, right? He left with Mommy"

A tear left my eyes, I hugged her.

"Your daddy loves you so much, loved you as much as he sacrificed himself for you, Honey. I am going to be your soft zone and your backbone from this day on because your daddy asked me when he can not come. Adrian will be here too to see you, just promise me you'll do okay in your operation. You'll be okay for your daddy, you will play, run, and do everything normal kids can do"

"Who are you, Aunt Helen?" She broke the hug asking me that question.

I was your daddy's last victim, I am who killed your daddy trying to protect herself from dying.

"I am your daddy's friend" I faked a smile.

"Daddy is so lucky to have a friend like you"

"Yeah! I am lucky too cause I have to know you, Sophia"

"Come on, Sophia. We should prepare you for the operation"

The nurse took Sophia and I was waving to her, the doctor stayed. I know she has something to say.

"Adrian told me he switched the guardianship to you" the doctor said.

"Yeah, I am doing my best to make Sophia happy and safe and sound"

"It's not easy for Sophia to take the news of her father's death this easy, Sophia is a tough girl and I love her so much. I need to make sure that she is in good hands" Doctor commented.

I smiled.

"If she isn't in a good hand I won't be visiting her, I won't care for her health, won't put my money in her health. Won't finish 8 Operation for her and becoming better day by day. I won't even care for someone I don't know, Doc"

The doctor was standing speechless.

"I know you're doing your conscious job and I respect you for that but now! Please focus on the operation"

She nodded and left. I sighed heavily.

I already postponed my travel for next month, I need to make sure Sophia is in good health to travel and we can proceed with her medication.

My phone started to ring.

"Hey, Ron" I smiled.

"You're traveling to London next month and will take Louis's daughter with you! Are you nuts?" He shouted happily. I chuckled.

"I was nuts a long time ago, Dear friend"

"I am so proud of you, Hel. You'll always have my support in everything. Take care of yourself, I wished to be here with you but your little Ethan is becoming a real pain in the ass"
