Chapter 1: Present

Harry wakes up to find Naginy laying on him. The giant snake belonged to his father, but the snake always insisted on sleeping with Harry. Naginy weighed as much as he did.
Harry was tall and skinny like his dad. He could also understand snakes like his dad, but that's were there similarity ended. Harry was adopted, and he knew it. Harry was sure that he would have inherent his power from his dad.
"Naginy, can you please get off of me?" He asked the snake, but she doesn't stir. Harry sighed and lifts the gaint snake off of his num legs. Once he could feel his legs again, he got up and got ready.
"Good morning," Harry's dad said as he entered the dinning room. Naginy slithered not far behind. After she realized that her personal body heater was gone, she had finally woke up and went to find it. "Good morning to you too Naginy."
"Why do you always sleep with me, Naginy?" Harry asked the snake. "Dad was the one that raised you." He said as he sat down and started to eat.
" Your warmer and nicer. You are even nice to the houssse elves. Why elssse did they wake you up in the middle of the night to talk to you?" The snake asked. Harry shivered at the thought. After almost three months of the house elves waking him up at 1 in the morning, he finally ordered them not to go into his room. He hated ordering them around. It always made him feel weird. He only did it if he absolutely had to. In truth they belonged to his dad. His dad didn't mind that all 13 house elves would obey Harry without complaining.
-DING DONG-
The doorbell rang out. Harry ran to the door. He opened it to find his two best friends in the whole world, Draco Malfoy ans Nix Ashwood. Harry's dad is Draco's dad's boss. Once Lushes 'Draco's dad' ordered Draco to become friends with me. When my dad found out, Lushes almost lost his job. He was lucky. Nix's parents don't care as long as she stays safe. Nix was born with too much magic. Because of that, she often faints when she is under stress. She used to not be able to go out of the house, untill one halloween. Harry invited her to come trick or treating with them when he was six. They became quick friends, and Nix's parents slowly started letting her go out more.
Harry let them inside. "Have you heard? The Hogwarts exceptence letters come this week. I hope I get excepted. I want a black cat for my school pet, what about you?" Nix asked the other two.
"Isn't it obvious? I speak to snakes. Having a snack just runs in my family," Harry said as they walked into the dinning room.
"I want a owl, but not just any owl. I want a snowy owl," Draco said as they all sat down.
"Talking about school again. Most kids hate going to school," Harry's dad said as letter appeared in front of the trio. Harry's dad goes back to reading his paper as the kids open their letters. "I won't be able to go with you. I have a meeting today. I will see you after lunch. Narsisa has agreed to take you to Diagon Ailly. Don't worry, you will be flying on brooms. You don't have to use flu powder." He looked at his son as he said the last part. Last time Harry used flu powder, he ended up in Boren and Birks. A shop in the bad part of Diagon Ailly. It was called Nocturn Ailly. Harry was luck that the owner of the shop knew his dad. Knew and feared his dad. Harry's dad used to be known as the dark lord. Harry knew it but didn't care. He knew his dad cared about him, and that was more than he could say for the rest of his real family...the Durslys.
