Everything feels so surreal. The feeling of newness and peculiarity. The signs are not fathomable for a clueless like me.
"Your grumpy jerk,"
It keeps replaying in my head as I walk to our room. I can't help myself from think about it over and over again.
"Whaaa!" I shout upon opening the door. Chocho scares me from hiding behind the door. She might see me at the gates returning home.
"I think I'll have a heart attack!" I tell her while clenching my chest. I can feel my heart still not ceasing from thumping fast.
"Oh, I'm so, sorry!" she cups her mouth while holding her teasing laugh back. "So, what happened?!" she giggles and I am growing my eyes wider than their usual size.
In the back of my mind, she would be persistent in telling her everything I should not be surprised.
I shake my head in defeat since I'm going to tell her every detail of what happened with him tonight anyway. I know she will keep teasing me once she knows about our relationship.
"Oh my gosh!!" was her unbelievable reaction to what she had learned from me. She is rolling on her bed while giggling. She looks like a child but she's cute while doing it.
"I'm so happy for you. Can you imagine it? That oblivious girl about love and romance is now getting a boyfriend and here's me who is still single, ugh!" she rolls her eyes.
I laugh at her rants. "You'll get one soon. You're an expert when it comes to love and relationships," I pat her back.
"That's a lie! I could not get myself a boyfriend. Look at me! Look at me!" is she crying for real?
"Calm down, Chocho. It will come to you at the right time," she pouts looking so hopeless.
"And to think that you were once enemies! As the saying goes, 'The more you hate, the more you love' It's unreal," she giggles again.
"Everything went so fast that I could not believe it myself too," I smile awkwardly and she notices.
"Hmm," she mutters while crossing her arms.
"Anyways, I heard what I need to hear. I should get to bed now. I feel so exhausted," she utters in a depressed voice.
I feel a slight guilt since she had to do my work in my absence earlier.
"I'm so sorry, Chocho. You're this exhausted because of me," I say in a soft and regretful voice.
"Huh?! What are you talking about?!" I can sense that she's somewhat worried about what I said. "Don't be foolish, Sarada. It's fine Besides, I volunteered to take on your place. You don't have to feel sorry," she grabs both my shoulders and faces me.
"But..." she cuts me off and speaks again. "Don't worry about it. It's only for today. If ever that jerk asks you out again, you should get a day off instead," she explains.
"He should tell you ahead too so you can prepare not that he would just barge in on someone's place and ask you out immediately. That idiot doesn't know anything," she shakes her head in disappointment.
"Teehee, you know he's a jerk and I can say that he is new to this kind of stuff just like me. I know we're like in the modern era now but I think we just have our different ways of dealing with things around us," That's what I believe in concerning our situation right now.
"But you guys can't keep being oblivious all the time. You should learn to look not only at books but at the things around you as well," she shrugs.
"You're right about that," my unsure respond to her.
