I had previously promised that I would dedicate this chapter to the first person to like my story when I reached the 1000th read mark. I am delivering on that promise and dedicating this chapter to @the_hooded_girl.
"I will not step aside Yoshi, so just forget about it."
"No Hiroshi, I will not just-forget-about-it! And I can't believe you repay me like this, especially after how I used to protect you, remember?"
Hiroshi looked away briefly before replying, "Back then I didn't know how to fight, but things are quite different now, aren't they? Besides Yoshi, I'm trying to protect you now."
"Protect me from what? A beautiful woman?!" said Yoshi with a distorted face and then shaking his head. "I-don't-need protection from pretty women! Seriously Hiroshi, I don't know what happened to you back there at the estate. Perhaps you got a brain injury or something, who knows. But this is NOT how the world works, ok?"
"Yoshi, you don't understand...Something is not right here. How much do we really know about this woman? And about this mission?"
"Uh, let's see. What do we know so far? Hmmmmm" said Yoshi raising his eyebrows, grabbing his chin and slowly pacing around. "Let's see, let's see...Well, we know we have a gorgeous, one of a kind woman within reach. And uh...I'm forgetting something...what was it? Oh! That's right, I remember now. She's very mysterious and what did you say...uh, um...and unusual. DAMN IT HIROSHI! WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW!?!
Being unamused, Hiroshi just folded his arms again and looked at Yoshi, slowly shaking his head.
"Ok, last chance Hiroshi. Get out of the way or I will have to move you by force."
Chuckling, "Not a chance Yoshi."
Before Yoshi could make a move, his eyes widened quickly, he stuttered while pointing with a trembling hand, "It's...it's...it's her! Sh-She's up!"
Hiroshi's head snapped backward with his eyes darting around the foggy forest. Suddenly, his knees buckled and his feet shuffled on the impact of Yoshi's body weight rushing into him-causing his body to hit the ground with a whomp.
They wrestled and rolled, with both attempting advanced grappling techniques and clever reversals. This went on for a few minutes as their bodies sometimes disappeared into the thick fog. Before long, Hiroshi managed to finally lock Yoshi and pin him.
Yoshi's free hand slapped the ground several times, which Hiroshi promptly ignored.
"Are you deaf and blind? Don't you see me tapping out here-Ou-Oouch!" winced Yoshi.
"Oh my ears must be clogged with fog or something. What did you say?" asked Hiroshi with a slight smile.
"I-I surrender. I SURRENDER!"
"Oh, you surrender? I see," said Hiroshi while holding the lock a little longer just before a strong thump, struck him near the back of his shoulder, causing him to flinch.
