Resurrections: A BTVS Fanfiction

Chapter Two

"What the hell are you doing in my office?" Angel demanded of the blonde vampire trying to hand him a mug of blood.

"Aw, Wesley. Did you not tell him? I'm your new secretary assistant person, Angelcakes!" Harmony said in an annoyingly high, obnoxious voice.

"Okay, first of all. Only Lorne is allowed to call me Angelcakes, and even then he's not really supposed to. And two? GET THE HELL OUT OF MY OFFICE!" Angel screamed at Harmony.

Harmony looked like she was about to cry. She glanced over at Wesley.

Wesley cleared his throat, and said, "Actually, Angel, she is your new assistant. I hired her."

"I can't believe this. Harmony? The one that tried to kill us all three years ago? Wes, you've got to be kidding me."

Wesley leaned over and whispered in Angel's ear, "Well, here's the thing. She's the only one who actually wanted the job. Everyone else thinks that since you're the 'good guy', they don't want to be your assistant."

Angel sighed, "Fine. Harmony, you can go assist me while sitting at your desk. And not interrupting me during meetings. Like this one."

"Okay boss!" Harmony said, extremely chirpy for someone who'd just been told to get out.

She left, and everybody looked at each other. There was a bang at the door, and it burst open.

Harmony. Again.

"What do you want?" Angel asked her. "I thought that we were done in here."

"Well, there's this package waiting outside-actually I'm holding it right now-and it's orange, as you can see. And it's really hot. Like burning my hand hot and so--"

"Harmony, just get to the goddamn point."

"It's burning my hand and it says IMPORTANT on so I think it's urgent and that you should take it right now!"

"Okay. Give it to me then."

Buffy and Dawn shared smiles, both recognizing Angel's calm demeanor, but also knowing how annoyed he really was.

He touched the package, and immediately his hand started to burn. "Ouch!" Angel dropped the package onto the ground, and everything around the package started to burn. "Harmony! What did you bring me?" Angel demanded.

"Boss, I don't know. Like I said before-"

"Okay, okay. Forget I asked."

Everyone in the room watched in amazement as the package burned up and all that was left was scorch marks, and something else. They peered in closer, but still cautiously, trying to see what it was, until-

"The amulet!" Buffy shouted, then sank down on to the ground to touch it, tears flowing freely again.

"Buffy, don't get too close to-" Giles was cut off as the amulet started to glow.

"Buffy!" Dawn yelled, and she pulled her sister away from it.

The amulet glowed and grew until it turned into a human form.

"Bloody hell!" it shouted.

"Oh my..." Buffy gasped.

Harmony, all but forgotten in the corner of Angel's office, screamed, "Blondie Bear! It's Blondie Bear!"
