Everyone in the room stared in awe for a moment, and then all different kinds of emotions jumped from every person. It was quite overwhelming for Lorne.

From Buffy and Dawn, Lorne got a sense of relief and pure joy.

Willow and Andrew were also relieved, but immediately came skeptical about the situation.

Giles and Xander were clearly annoyed and angry, one of the two at the very least.

Kennedy and Faith couldn't really care either way. It stopped Buffy's suffering, but neither of them knew the vampire very well.

Wesley, Fred, and Charles were curious, to say the very least, but they had no connection, and so this did nothing for them.

Harmony (Lorne rolled his eyes as he got an image of her emotions) was clearly imagining having sex with the vamp as soon as inhumanly possible.

But Angel, oh, he was smoldering. Lorne half expected smoke to start steaming out of Angel's ears.

All that mattered was this: William the Bloody was back.

"Bloody, bloody hell," Spike muttered under his breath. He hadn't yet looked up, and was just inspecting himself. "Where am I?"

Buffy stood there shivering with joy, and Dawn put her arms around her.

"You're in the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram and Hart," Angel said, rolling his eyes. "In my office. You can get out whenever you like."

"Not bloody likely," Spike smirked. He looked up, having regained knowledge of the fact that he was still here and all in one piece. "Oh! Hey, Red," he said, addressing Willow.

Buffy had snuck around the corner of the office and out through the door. She thought that she had escaped unseen, but she hadn't.

"Buffy? What's wrong?" Buffy turned around and saw Dawn following her.

"Not now, Dawnie. Please."

"No, Buffy. It's okay. You can talk to me."

Buffy started crying and Dawn walked over to her and put her arms around her.

"We've done a lot of this since we got here, Buffy," Dawn said, and Buffy let out a little giggle. "I know there's something going on. Please tell me what it is."

"Okay, but can we find a room first? Away from all of the busy people out here?" Buffy asked.

"Of course we can," Dawn said, and led her to the room that Angel had assigned the Summers' sisters to sleep in. He'd done this earlier, but only Dawn had been listening. Their things had already been unpacked from the school bus, and Mr. Gordo had already been unpacked, Buffy's stuffed pig, was sitting on top of one of the two queen-sized beds in the room. "Ooh, Buffy, look! We each get a queen-sized bed, like Mom used to have in her room." Dawn had said this to comfort Buffy, but it just brought an onset of new tears. She sighed. "Buffy, you really must tell me what's wrong."

Meanwhile, in Angel's office, Willow and Spike had carried on a very polite conversation about the end of Sunnydale, and then Spike had said hello to a couple of very disoriented Scoobies, and been introduced to the rest of the Wolfram and Hart crew.

"Hey, I'm sorry to break up the lil' party you folks have going on, but, well, how the hell did I end up back here?" Spike asked. "I mean, at one point I'm burning into a bunch of little Spike pieces of dust, then I'm waiting in a cavern that has two ways that I can go: heaven or hell, and then I was here, so..."

"Well, that's very, uh, I've never heard of anything quite like that, Spike. Maybe, uh, maybe I can look into it?" Giles said.

"Would you like some help with that, Rupert? I'd be happy to show you Wolfram and Hart's extensive library," Wesley offered.

"That would be wonderful, thank you, Wesley."

"You'll be in library heaven, Mr. Giles, I promise. I know Wes was when we first came here a few days ago," Fred said with a huge smile on her face.

The two ex-watchers left the room.

"Now, Red, if you don't mind telling me, where's Buffy? And where's the Little Bit?"

Buffy and Dawn were back in the room that they were sharing, Room 20A. Buffy sat on the bed, sobbing her little heart out, while Dawn was comforting her, saying, "Shhh, shhh, Buffy. It'll be okay. I promise."

Dawn was, of course, happy to comfort her sister, but she was tired of not getting any answers. She pulled away from Buffy, and said, "Buffy, I'm really sorry, but I need to know what's wrong."

"Okay Dawnie." Buffy sat up. "It's just... seeing Spike again was amazing, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure I'm ready for anything to happen with him."

"But you love him, don't you? I mean, I always thought so, ever since that time when we were sitting eating lunch on the bleachers, that time when we all fell for RJ, when you told me that you 'feel for him'. Like what else is that supposed to mean? 'I feel for him' is basically code for 'I'm in freakin' love with him'." Buffy laughed.

"No, it wasn't then. I think it was when Robin - oops, sorry, Principal Wood - tried to kill him and I realized how devastated I would be if Spike was really gone. And then he was. And he took all of Sunnydale with him, and then I realized today after I got on the bus, that both Spike and my home had been taken away from me in less than two hours. And... Sunnydale, Dawnie. Mom's grave was there. We'll never see her again, or be able to talk to her. Ever. And I just. I don't know what to do about that," Buffy said, keeping her eyes on Dawn the whole time.

"Well, Buffy, lucky for you, I packed a small bag of things that were Mom's and I put them in a little pouch right by the driver's seat. And..." Dawn went to the nightstand sitting in between the two girls beds, and grabbed a small bag that was embroidered with flowers and little miniature suns.

Buffy gasped. "That was Mom's favorite bag!" Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Yeah." Dawn gave Buffy a small little smile. "And I know this sounds weird, but I took a picture of her gravestone, just so we could remember, and also I grabbed pictures of the three of us from all around the house, plus some of Mom's old perfumes."

"Oh, Dawnie." Buffy covered her mouth with her hands and sank back into Dawn's arms, crying again. "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

It was a weird sensation, but holding Buffy in her arms and comforting her, and remembering to do little things that Buffy should have been doing gave Dawn an odd feeling: it gave her the feeling that she was playing the role of the older Summers sister. She smiled. Buffy had always done this for her, and now Dawn needed to return the favor. Buffy had been so strong for too long.

"Buffy, I just wanted to tell you, I know how you're feeling about Spike and Sunnydale. Maybe not in the same way for Spike, cause I'm not in love with him, you know, but he was a good friend to me. A very good friend. I remember all of those nights that I spent in his crypt listening to stories. I always had so much fun, and then you'd get so mad. I'd get mad at you, but now I realize why you made me leave. But I know how much Spike loves you. He told me one time. He told me, 'Little Bit, I know your sister will never love me as much as I love her, but she's truly special. I've never met anyone like her, despite how long I've been living. I'd put a stake in my heart if it would help her. Hell, I think it would help her sometimes, to have me gone.' So now that he's back, you have to try to make it work, Buffy. Please make it work. There's no reason why two people in love shouldn't be together."

"You're right, Dawnie," Buffy said, and she wiped her eyes. "You're totally right. Thank you." Buffy gave her sister one last hug, and they sat there for a while, arms intertwined, until they were interrupted.

A British voice came through the door, saying, "Long time no see, eh ladies?"
