THE ONLY ONE

Lando and Emily arrived at the Belgium GP together, both knowing it would would be best for their agreement, but neither of them cared. They enjoyed going together.

"You sure?" Emily asked chuckling as she looked at Lando who was driving.

"I am," he said as the blonde smiled. "Are you?"

"Oh hell yeah," she laughed as he grinned at her. They drove into the paddock and Emily looked out the window and laughed as all the paparazzi and fans took photos of them. Lando pulled up into his spot and the two got out of the car.

"Come on baby," he said as Emily looked at him. "What?"

"Baby, huh?' she asked with a playful grin as she shut the car door and waved to the fans.

"Thought I'd try it," he said, shrugging as the blonde grinned. She looked at him and laughed before the two of them made their way past the fans, taking as many photos and signing things as possible before they got their passes out and walked into the pit lane. 

"Emily!" a reporter said as the blonde smiled, "did Lando offer to drive you down here now that you're together?"

"When did we get together?" the two asked in sync before laughing. 

"Emily! Did Lando stay at yours or did you stay at his?"

"I slept in my bed last night," Emily laughed. "And had a lovely breakfast."

"You didn't even think to mention that I made you that a lovely breakfast? All that cooking for nothing?" Lando joked once the reporter had gone as Emily looked at him and laughed.

"What cooking?" she laughed as she looked at him, very aware the that the cameras were on them. "You mean you going down to the corner shop and buying pre made pancakes?"

"It counts," he said as he grinned at her. She laughed as she looked at him before shaking her head.

"If you say so," she laughed. He grinned at her and he held the McLaren garage door open. "Why thank you," she said, smiling at him before walking in. Lando grinned as he followed her towards his drivers room. 

"So, what are your plans then blondie?" he asked as the blonde grinned.

"I have been inspired," she said grinning as Lando beamed at her.

"A new album?" he asked as she nodded and smiled. "Em, that's brilliant!" She smiled at him and looked down and bit her lip. "You okay?" She looked up and him and smiled.

"Yeah," she said smiling, "just, thinking about what to write." Lando grinned as she smiled.

"Well, I'm sure whatever it is, you will be brilliant," he said as she smiled at him.

"Thank you," she said grinning, "however, it does mean that I will have to go back to LA."

"After the race?" he asked, his face dropping slightly.

"Of course!" she said as his face lit up. 

"Then we better make the most of it now," he said as she grinned.

"You really don't make it subtle girl."

Emily turned around and grinned when she saw Charlotte standing there with a grin.

"Hey," the blonde said smiling as they quickly hugged. "What don't I make subtle?"

"You and Lando," Charlotte said as Emily chuckled and carried on watching Lando during Practice 1.

"Don't know what you mean," she said as Charlotte chuckled. 

"Em," she said as the blonde looked at her, "I know it's easy days, but you'll see it eventually."

"See what?" Emily asked as Charlotte chuckled.

"Exactly," she said as the blonde smiled amused, "anyway, do you fancy going for a coffee while the boys drive around?"

"I'd love nothing more," the blonde said, grabbing her phone and following the older girl.

The two girls made their way towards the cafeteria where they could still watch the practise on the tv.

"So, what's going on with you two? We know you're fake dating, but it doesn't seem that way recently," Charlotte asked, as they grabbed a table by the window and sipped their coffee.

"I don't know," she admitted, "I like hanging around him."

"He likes hanging around with you," Charlotte said as Emily looked confused. "He spoke to Charles about it, and he told me." Emily chuckled as she sipped her espresso and nodded. "Just take it at your own pace," the brunette said, "there's no pressure on either of you to take things at a pace you're not comfortable with." Emily smiled and nodded.

"I just don't want to be embarrassed again," she admitted, "Cam never embarrassed me, but some of the others did."

"Then follow your heart," she said, "if you see it going somewhere with Lando, then take the risk. If you don't, then step away before you both get hurt." Emily smiled and nodded as she sighed. "But, change of topic, I've heard you got inspiration for a new album?"

"I do," the blonde said as she grinned.

"And would that inspiration happen to be Lando?" Emily hesitated as the brunette beamed. "I knew it," she laughed. Emily chuckled as she shrugged.

"It's certainly inspired by him," she admitted, "actually, quite a lot is. He's made me feel a way I haven't felt in a long time."

"What's that?"

"Seen," she admitted. "Most of my ex's treated me very well, and I don't have a bad word to say about the good ones. And Cam, I just feel like. . . ."

"Feel like you're replacing him?" Charlotte asked as Emily nodded.

"I know he would want me to be happy and Lando does," she said, "but I don't want to replace him, or forget about him."

"You could never forget about him," Charlotte said, "and only move on when you're ready, not when you want other people to be."

"With Lando, it's different," Emily said, "he doesn't see me as this super star, he sees me as just Em, you know?" Charlotte nodded. "He sees me as the blonde, crazy cat girl and it's so refreshing. Like, there's no pressure to hold this reputation I have, I don't have to be careful with what I say or how I act. I can be myself with him, and it scares me. I don't want to replace Cam." Charlotte smiled as Emily looked at her. "Do you feel that way with Charles?" 

"I, what?" she chuckled nervously. 

"I may be a blonde, but I'm not stupid," she said chuckling.

"I do," she said, "we've known each other for years, and suddenly I'm seeing him in a new light." Emily smiled as she looked at the older girl. 

"Looks like we're both in a weird situation," she said chuckling as Charlotte chuckled and nodded.

"But about the Cam situation," Charlotte said as Emily looked at her, "there is no way he could ever think you were forgetting him, or replacing him. His family know that, you know that and everyone knows that. The people who care about you want you to be happy, if that's with Lando then it is. You can't forget something as special as the relationship you had with Cam, both romantically and friendship." Emily smiled and rested her head on Charlotte's shoulder.

"Thank you Lottie," she said as Charlotte rested her head on Emil's blonde curls.

"Anytime Emi," she said.
