TITLE: I'm Yours
AUTHOR: sassychubbycheeks on AO3Satoru didn't know whether Suguru loved him.
He told himself it did not matter what exactly Suguru felt because they were always like this, fitting into each other naturally, a connection between them that needed no words, just set alight by the fire they both carried inside of them. It had always been that way, back when they were students, after they drifted apart past graduation, even after Suguru turned his back towards everything Satoru thought their lives were.
Everything Satoru believed to be fixed by the universe, their paths of life as being the strongest, was totally shaken right then. Things got complicated. There was a conflict inside Satoru no one was capable to heal.
He laid awake countless nights wondering whether he made the right choice, whether he rather should have torn Suguru apart or gone with him that day. He still did not know. When it came to Suguru things had always been different, Satoru never seemed to be able to think clearly.
Even after he left, Suguru still lingered in every aspect of his life to the point where Satoru questioned whether he really was the strongest, because for Suguru he was weak. He couldn't manage to shut the gate, always letting Suguru back inside. No matter how often Suguru would leave him.
Because despite it all Satoru trusted Suguru. He'd trust him not to harm his students if it ever came down to it, he'd trust him with Shoko, he trusted him with his body still.
Satoru couldn't help it even if it were only for the sight of Suguru looking down at Satoru in his moonlit room while Satoru's hair was spilled out on the pillows like a halo surrounding his head. Satoru reached out to tug a strand of hair that's come loose behind Suguru's ear, touching him with delicate fingers, as if Suguru would disappear if he wouldn't.
Satoru never knew when he'd see Suguru again and it destroyed him a little bit every time they met like this in his bedroom because he knew Suguru would be gone by morning and there was nothing he could do, he would do.
It was so out of character for Satoru it threw him off. He had always been one of the confident kind, some people might go as far as saying he was having a superiority complex. If that was true, then why could he barely hold eye contact when people mentioned Suguru to him, why was he so desperate to be good for Suguru as if the other man would disappear if Satoru made one insignificant mistake? Why did Satoru go from sleeptalking his best friend, his one and only, to nervously tripping over his words?
"Kiss- Kiss me."
Satoru was shaking all over from the touch of Suguru's lips against his, arching his body up into Suguru's, feeling his warmth, taking him in, pale, bony fingers coming to tangle into dark hair to ensure Suguru was not going anywhere, was not leaving him.
