"She's your daughter! You can't just marry her off to your boss." My father discarded my tear stained cheeks and red eyes. He had his eyes tightly on mother.
"There was nothing else to do. I had to pay-off our debt, I did the right thing." Father said, dismissing me and mother. "Plus, he's only twelve years older than her. Still a young man. With billions to his name."
Father walked to me, grabbing my shoulders. He gave me a surprising smile, it was forced and not genuine. He never smiled at me, this made me smile back hesitantly. "He'll take care of her."
"She's only eighteen." mother cried off, her eyes watering. "She's too young."
Father's eyes grew cold, and his hands on me started tightening. It started hurting, but I didn't want him to get angry. "Mom no, it's okay."
"No, it's not. You're not read-"
"He'll teach her everything she needs to know." Father cuts in, stepping away from me. I already miss his embrace which he'd never cared to give me. "Now leave, I've a lot of work."
