(Early update coz I'm bored)
"No."
"Please, Mocha you have to do this for me. You're my best friend!" Marcie exclaimed, shaking Mocha violently who did nothing but roll her eyes. The blond girl pouted but sighs. "Fine then, I'll just have to tell Lucas you have a crus-"
Before she could finish, Mocha jumped to cover up her mouth with her palms. She glared at her best friend, silently signaling her to shut up. The boy he mentioned sat a seat in front of them. She didn't want to draw his attention to them. "Don't finish that. He's seating right in front of us."
Marcie grinned underneath her palms. She pulled away, warning her to say anymore. Marcie rolls her eyes just as the teacher suddenly walks in the class. Everyone shuts up as the lesson started. Her Calculus teacher started talking for a full on forty-five minutes. When it was about five minutes before the end of the period he stopped.
Professor Cal looked at the class, pushing his classes up his nose as he addresses everyone and demanded their attention. "Okay class, before we leave I have something to inform you all." Mocha and Marcie stared at each other strangely. Before they turned back to the teacher.
"We have a surprise project." A loud crowd of disagreements and groans where heard throughout the class. Mocha on the other hand was bouncing off her seat, she wanted to go home already. "Yeah yeah, suck it up will y'all?" Professor Cal rolls his eyes.
"Anyway. The government laid out a few math sums that three different universities are trying to solve. It's one of the most toughest three question assignment ever given to first year university students. It was given to us just three days ago, we were told to put our first year university students into two or three groups, giving them four weeks to solve it."
No one seemed to be interested as he went on but Mocha listened with so much interest. She was about ready to get started with this project already. A math project wasn't given out often but when it was, her fingers tingles and brain ran until she found an answer or solution.
Mocha was the youngest student in the school. Being only eighteen and already in her first year university. The students here were twenty and twenty-one, youngest being nineteen. She started school early and plus her smart brain always had her recognized wherever she went.
At least I wasn't fully useless.
Professor Cal looked around the room that had about sixty students. "Well, winners win about 100 thousand." The whole class erupted into chats and praises. Seems like they were in it for the money. "-wait, I'm not done yet." They all went quiet. "Not only the money but they get a scholarship to and a visit to most expensive Art Museum of their choice."
That was it, she wanted that visit. All determined to win it. Mocha was nudged and she looked at Marcie, who had her eyes wide. "100 fucking thousands. Shit Mocha, we're rich!" Marcie exclaimed, which made Mocha smile and look away. Marcie then frowned...."Well technically 'I'm rich' since you're already rich-rich." She rolls her eyes.
Mocha didn't care for the money, she grew up having everything. Her father had more than that saved up and she wasn't even in this for the money. Maybe the scholarship, even though she knew she didn't need it. But what she really wanted was that visit to the Art Museum of her choice.
LA RED MUSEUM ROUGE.
Her dream home, she'd be damned if she didn't get into that museum. The "La Red museum rouge" was he most famous museum in the entire world. With art pieces of popular artists, even the original Monalisa..'yes the Monalisa with eyebrows' was kept there.
