Chapter 12

The next 3 weeks fly by, we work most afternoons in the garage and Jason has taken to coming with us and working on a laptop in the office. With Freddie working in the gym I think he feels weird being in the house all by himself. He's taking an online university course on buisness management. Bambi has also found one on in social care, she enrolled yesterday. Life is starting to settle into a routine, we're going to move into the twins house after we leave here. We've found out that Nyefield is in Wiltshire, it was built on top of the old ministry of defence mines. More girls have been found within some tunnels, according to Chris they must have been using them before Nyefield was even opened.

Chris has also been able to put the cogs in motion to turn Nyefield into a therapy centre. It's going to take a few years to get it into a working condition but that will give us time to get our qualifications so we can come back and work here. Bambi is determined to help as many women as possible who have suffered at the hands of others. I love the determination she has to follow this through.

Bambi finally got her first ultrasound last week for the baby. Everything is doing fine and seeing the little bean on the screen was such a strange sensation. Knowing she's growing in actual human being inside her body. A human being that is half mine. God its strange to think I'm going to be a dad in the next six months. I'm excited but also petrified. I'm more scared though that she will loose the baby, I don't know how she'll cope with that.

At the moment she's in full revenge planning mode, she has note books every where with very graphic designs of what she wants to do to them. She is also watching multiple videos of live surgeries, she believes she'll be able to remove some of their internal organs whilst they're awake and keep them alive. I think each of them have claimed one of the three men each, this will be the man that each of them eventually kill but they're going to have fun with all of them. Chris has set up the basement with all the tools we asked for... well Bambi asked for and then the night vision goggles. From next week people will start moving out. We will temporarily go to the twins house and once everyone has left then we will come back and spend a day setting up the compound before Chris bring them back. He's stayed in touch with his back alley contacts so they don't think anything is off.

Me and Freddie arrive home around 7pm, I met him at the gym after work and we had a few rounds in the ring before training the others that have an interest in boxing or MMA. I'm applying to take a personal training course as well as a nutritionist course. I love working in the garage but just also want a wider range of qualifications to keep myself busy. Jason is sat at the kitchen table with his headphones in tapping away. I shout for Charlie but I don't get a reply. She must be on the roof, she spends a lot of time up there at the moment. I grab a snack from the fridge and head up.

"Hey, how's your evening been?" I ask climbing through the window.

"It's not too bad, just been reading." She's definitely quieter than usual.

"What's wrong firecracker?"

"I... its nothing don't worry." She barely looks up from her book. I sigh and sit down next to her, I place a hand on her thigh and pull my phone out of my pocket to start playing on some games. We sit there for a while before Bambi talks again.

"I've been having more back pain than usual, plus I had a stomach ache this morning. It's gone now though..."

"We should get you checked out."

"It's fine Dax, that's why I didn't want to tell you. I was just over thinking. I've not had any of the previous symptoms I would get before I lost the baby."

"But it might be different. Please at least ring the doctor and ask?" We only have one doctor still but with barely anyone living here his phone line is open all day and night. Bambi looks at me grumpily but pulls out her phone. She brings up the doctors number presses the call button before putting it on speaker.
