I am Yakubel, now the High Priest of the temple and the chosen Master, after many years of training in the temple of the "House of Joys" of Sin the Great in Harran. I am a very knowledgeable master of stonemasonry and sculpture. And I am one of the few craftsmen on earth who know how to carve a single piece of stone.
The art and knowledge of pillar-making was taught to human beings before the Flood by the angels of heaven, and this knowledge was always hidden and sealed with signs by the masters who possessed it. So it took a very deep training to be able to read these signs and give them meaning. Where and how to place a stone is a difficult task that is done by looking at the stars. And woe to the one who is ignorant of the stars.
The stars are so many and so hidden in the sky that to know which star is where, for what and how, is to know the knowledge of the heavens. Being close to the knowledge of the heavens means knowing where, when and what will happen. That is why these sciences are too heavy for mortal men to carry. And that is why these sciences cannot be written down, and even if they are written down, they cannot be read.
And when wise men conveyed this knowledge to people, most of the time they sealed it on tablets or conveyed it through words. And that is why this knowledge seems to be just signs, pictures and stories. The reader cannot understand its deeper meaning, cannot unravel its secrets. One must know how to read the language of these signs in order to understand their deeper meaning and unravel their secrets. And it is this language of signs that I learned in the temple schools that has been instrumental in what I will learn from now on.
I am Jacobel, and my ancestry goes back to the land of Edom, to the land of Tayma, which Abraham made his home in the land of Edom, where he built palaces and thick and tall walls and houses and sanctuaries in them and on their rocks. And my eldest ancestor was Salm Shezib, the son of Petosiris, the High Priest of the sanctuary which Abraham built, and the High Priest of the sanctuary.
And at that time Salm Shezib, the son of Petosiris, erected a magnificent obelisk in front of the temple dedicated to the Moon and inscribed on it the following prayer;
"I Salm Shezib, son of Petosiris, blessed be the Moon, in whose name I have erected this obelisk in front of her house. God of Tayma has blessed Salm Shezib, son of Petosiris, and his descendants in the house of Sin, and has granted them wisdom. Whoever wants to destroy this sanctuary and this stone, let him know that he will burn in the fires of hell. May the God of the heavens grant long life to Salm Shezib, the son of Petosiris, and to all his descendants who will serve as priests in this temple or in any other temple called by his name, and may his favor be upon them."
My ancestors are the descendants of Abraham in Tayma. And they prayed for the continuation of the Kingdom of Nabat, the seed of which Abraham sowed. And they spread the forms of worship that they learned from Abraham and taught and encouraged the worship of the name of the God of the heavens in Tayma, in Al Ula and Petra and in Medina and in places from Mecca to Yemen.
My ancestor Petosiris was a descendant of Moses, educated in the temples of the Egyptian priests. In ancient times, when Moses was killed, his followers hid in Tayma and worshipped in secret until Abraham came and found them. And then when the ancestors of Petosiris came to know the God of Abraham, they prostrated themselves before his God, and they worked to teach his commandments to their people, and they became the honored men of the land.
When Abraham came to Tayma and decided to make it his home, he brought with him all his treasures from the land of Babylon, his treasures of gold and silver. At that time, along with the people of knowledge and wisdom who were with him, he educated the Arab tribes who were shepherds and bandits and taught them the commandments of the Lord. These Arabian tribes who were shepherds and bandits, later, thanks to Abraham's riches, established the kingdom of Nabat, and after a long time they moved the chief city of their kingdom to Petra.
And when their kingdom became powerful and well-known, they waged war against Harran, as Abraham had willed to them, and they conquered this land and moved their kingdom to Harran. So, Abraham's will and Abraham's mission to them was to protect Abraham's homeland and the sacred tablets in his homeland. And from that time until now, we Arabs have settled and taken root in Harran to protect and preserve the sacred tablets in it.
