Daughter of the Gods

Chapter 2

Maddison Sage's POV:

I didn't remember a single thing about what happend.
I was hiding from something. I didn't know what. My hands were covered in a golden dust and my head hurt so bad. Should I explain how I got here? Maybe yes.

One night I had a fight with my mother. It was about a guy from the highschool that i was going to that I liked and his friendS. She told me that if I stopped spending time with them I would get better grades and maybe I would make some more civilized friends. Long story short - she kicked me out beacouse I still wanted to spend my time with them. That is how I ended up the streets of New York alone.

Now back to our story. I heard some voices round the corner. I stood up, whiped my hands on my shirt and stepped out of the alley. They weren't scared. Not even surprised. The two teenagers (Tess and her brother Percy) lookd at each other and said: 'Yep. We're in big trubble.'
Then all of us started running when we heared a lady say: 'Come on, Stheno, we have to get the girl! Move your tail faster!
Percy said confused: 'Aren't those the two gorgons? I remember them well enough to know that they move quite fast. We have to get to camp and quick.'

Gorgons... weren't they Greek monsters? My thoughts were interupted when Tess dragged me by the hand behind a van.
'Percy, you and I are going to kill those gorgons.' Tess said and then looked at me. 'Can you borrow us a car,...'
'Maddison' I answer.
'Alright. I'm Tess and he's Per...'
'Percy, I know. He's the guy who desappeared 5 years ago.' I interrupted her.

I went to search for a victim. I saw a man at a restaurant table talking on the phone. He was quite bussy. His car keys were next to his coffee cup. I went behind him and started walking. I 'tripped' and put my hand on the table over the keys to balance myself.
'Are you okay?' The man asked.
'Yes, thank you.' I said as I grabed the keys. Then I went to search for the vehicle.

I found the car and drove off even though I was 15. I found them sitting on the sidewalk waiting for me.
Percy got behind the wheel. We arrived somewhere that seemed to look like a camp.
Then I saw him. The guy I told you about. 'Travis! Travis Stoll, is that you?'
'Maddy!' He said embarrassed. 'Uh... Surprise!'
Apparently I am a daughter of Hermes. That explains the stealing. I was claimed at the campfire the same night. After I found out that Travis was my half-brother I didn't like him anymore.

Before the campfire,Tess led me to the infirmary to check if I was okay. I heard her and another boy talking.
'Felix, are you free? There's this new girl, her name's Maddy, that I think you'll like.' I heard Tess's voice behind the door.
'That is not nice!' a boy said. Tess gigled.

A boy enered the room. He was tall with black hair and green eyes.
'Damn...' I thought. 'He's hot.'
'Can I examine you?' He asked politely. I nodded.
After he finished he looked in my eyes and whispered 'Did you know you're cute?'
'You too.' I said then I realised. 'I mean...'
Then he kissed me on the cheeck.

Now, after a year, he was my boyfriend but we broke up. Don't worry, he is still my friend. And about Tess - she's my best friend. Honestly, I didn't ever think about going on a quest with her. I would probably die because of her, not because of the prophecy.
