I heave my body onto a numbingly cold rock, allowing my legs to touch the surface of it. Noticing that the rock was exposed to the angelic moonlight, I took a minute to experience the sky in all of its glory. It was stunning. My heart pounded, though, as I recall all that has happened. The roaring of flames, the terror...it happened too quickly. It felt like the scene started years ago, yet it was very long ago.
I blink back a forming tear as I hold my grip on the rock. This won't be the only time that I will be alone. I've always pondered about the life I'm living. Staying with humans, never revealing the giant secret of being an overpowerful and almighty God. I wouldn't say that I am anything like that. I only seek to find better opportunities and find a better lifestyle. My wings sometimes get in the way, and I am terrified of what some others would think of me.
But I have to say, humans are not my first choice of friends. They are totally unreliable and are full of stupidity. I have never seen a trustworthy human in my days of walking on this vast planet. How could you trust someone anyway? They always are ebbing on the fact that they will spill a secret you have shared with everyone they know.
I relax in a comfortable position, feeling the stone against the palm of my hand. I grab the sketchbook that is hidden in my broken and scratched up backpack and reach for the nearest pencil. I turned to a clean page in the book and sighed, wondering what I was going to do. I catch my mind up and remind myself of what the forest would look like from a birds eye view. I commence the sketching, drawing lines around the page. It was the forest.
'The Forest of the North' I name the sketch.
After a while, I stop myself from drawing, laying my pencil down on my backpack, and admiring the now full grey led page. I staple a grin onto my face before pausing. I look behind me, seeing that there was more out there. I couldn't be bothered to go searching for whatever lies out past this endless forest. At least it felt endless.
I pack my stuff away before laying down, my eyes still wide open and scanning my surroundings. It was so peacefully quiet, and I like it that way. I didn't have to put up with the destruction and chaos that I had started or watched someone start. It's better that way.
I finally shut my eyes tightly, thinking about all that I should start tomorrow, glancing at the darkness that my shut eyelids have created. I twitch a little before completing laying still, not making a sound. I tell myself I have to rest, to get some sleep to get stronger. I'm going to be walking miles the next day.

As the sunlight drenches my body, I rush my steps. My head quickly turned upwards, looking towards the blue sky. I allow my wings to come from under its hiding place and spread out wide, each feather nearly departing from each other. I get ready to take off, slowly edging closer to the green patch of grass ahead. I count each second I waste, leaping and gliding for a moment. I started to fly.
The brown feathers behind me withstood the strength of the breeze, never causing me to stumble. It felt good to be free once more. The scenery and the beautiful blew from up in the sky was outstanding. It was truly a wonderful sight to see. The pristine look of the luscious treetops, the fluffy clouds that surround the tallest mountains, the beaming bright green long grass. It was all dazzling.
I gradually floated higher and higher, my wings only being spread out. I flap them a few times, feeling the weight of them on my shoulder blades. I am going to be travelling for a while until I find a town, a sign of life or house, just anything of a building. I must find someone. I have decided I am sick of being alone.
