Sooo my dig art class is having us enter an art contest called the PTSA Reflections (idk if it's nationwide or just Texas) and this year, the theme is Hope! Sooo I thought I'd show y'all my planning/part of sketch!
Ye it's complex hehe
And dw the figure Aint naked I just haven't added clothes yet bc I wanted to try to get accurate-ish anatomy firstAnyways, the bottom is gonna have a mass amount of hands tryina pull the distraught figure down, while the figure reaches up to grasp the hand of Hope, aka a lil oc I made in my head lmfao
I decided that since I'm struggling a lot rn, and constantly think about my future, and use those thoughts as a sense of hope, I might attempt to draw how it feels as I get closer to being a legal adult. The hands, though not belonging to anyone specific, are supposed to represent my family, whose toxicity has forced me to look forward to leaving them and cutting contact when I'm 18, and the hand represents the character I've made who is my hope, aka, my reason for living, even though he doesn't exist.
It's a coping mechanism I swear 😭
Also NO the hand is NOT GOD I'm an ATHEIST my sister thought it was and then told me atheism is a religion (it's not) 😭😭😭
ALSO THOSE HANDS— I JUST SKETCHED THEM AND THEY LOOKED LIKE THAT ON THE FIRST TRY
OMG HAVE I MASTERED HANDS FINALLY??? *S C R E E C H*Anygay baiii I'll post the finished piece (I'm so excited) when I'm done; will prob be a few days
Bye bye friends :DD
