Chapter 1

TITLE

~How It Started~

There was a girl call Higanbana, why is she name this weird name? She is from the Amaryllis family known for their signature golden hair and blue eyes. when she was born, Higan's mother who was loved dear by the previous mistress has died during child birth resulting to Higan's own grandmother to hate her. The reason for her name is because of the death of her mother. Higanbana, also known as red spider lily bring the meaning of death. Lucky for Higan that uncle Hugo , her father older brother took care of her.

Hugo works at an Asian country call Japan. He love the culture and decide to bring his niece here to Japan since her family back in Germany dislike her. Growing up, she learned both german and japanese, so she can speak fluently in both language. Unfortunately, as soon as she can take care of herself, Hugo was force to leave her. He left Higan at the age of 7, that might seem outrageous, but Higan at that age can already speak fluently and also act matured. Hugo felt guilty for leaving her all by herself. He decide that he will pay for her rent every month so that she at the very least has a place to go back to.

Higan grow up alone, never experience what people call "a normal" childhood. Japan society was even crueler to her, since she had natural red hair. She was as cold as ice to everyone around her so she wouldn't get hurt. It continue like this until she was 10. This was when she meet a kind mister at the side walk one day.

Ever since that day, she changed..

fast-forward to today.. Higan is now 15 year old.. she's inside the science lab with her friend Senku and other science member. She had a white lab coat on, her hair is now black since she dyed it, and she is wearing glasses since she is too lazy to put on her contact lens.

"hey.. Imma head out real quick.." Higan said as she stop at the door and fix her glasses. Her friend Senku hummed. She when out the door and went to get some of her stuff from her locker. On her way back, she saw another one of her friend Taiju. He seem nervous for some reason. After arriving back at the lab, the atmosphere here has change. She asked Senku about it and apparently, Taiju is finally going to confess to Yuzuriha.

"do you think he'll actually confess this time?" Higan ask while fixing her glasses, Senku just snicker. "Seeing them like this made me wonder if i'll ever fall in love like them?" Said Higan suddenly, Senku who was beside her stay silent at the question. "Love is just a waste of time.." He sighed and Higan laugh softly at him. "why you think so? what if one day.. you really did fall head over heel for someone? what will you do? denied your feelings as waste of time?" Higan ask curiously. Senku was force to think of that possibility. "who knows.." that was an answer Higan did not expect from him. he always has something to say but this time he has nothing. Senku notice her surprise expression and clicked his tongue. "What's with that reaction?" He smirk with his brows furrowed. "I'm just surprised.. never expected the genius Senku to be so unknown in the topic of love... Here I thought you knew everything." Higan smile as her eyes narrowed. "Love is difficult to read in science, human behaviour is just complicated in general.." Senku scoffed slightly. "Well that's answer is more like you.." Higan chuckled slightly and look out the window. She saw Yuzuriha waiting under a tree, probably waiting for Taiju. People started gathering around the hallway window, mostly people in the science club.

They started to bet whether Taiju will get rejected or not.Higan smile slightly at the boys betting that Taiju get rejected. Which she highly doubt, because she's pretty sure Yuzuriha has feelings for him too.
