~Parting Ways~

Third person POV-

She hug him tightly, burying her face in his neck. She just realised her feelings, a feeling she probably had for a long time now but just didn't realise. He was truly special in her eyes, more special than anyone else in this world.

'should I.. tell him?' she wonders. She didn't want to ruin the moment by confessing. So she stayed quiet and enjoy this peaceful silence between them.

She pull away, looking at him still a bit concerned. "Is your neck alright?" She asked while looking at him. "Never been better." Senku grin slightly, his playful tone return. She sighed in relief as a single tear roll down her face. Senku wipe the tears away with his thumb.

After a moment, Yuzuriha and Taiju came back with a cloth. "The pattern on this leather kind of looks like rocket ship, right?" Yuzuriha said excitedly. Higan stare at it. "I kinda see it.. I guess?" She chuckled lightly, Senku didn't agree though. "Not seeing even one milimeter of a rocket." He said looking unimpressed, Taiju laughed excitedly. He didn't even pay attention.

Yuzuriha took the cloth and a long stick and tie Senku's neck to it. Higan chuckled slightly at the sight. "As for your neck, this should do it for now." Yuzuriha said and Senku protested. "Don't need it, not even one milimeter!" Senku smirk.

"Hehehe.. professor Senku volunteered his body, and the experiment was a complete success. The healing power of the depetrification process is out of this world!" Senku said sarcastically.

Taiju beam excitedly. "It's kinda like you said when making soap. Except this is even better! This petrification, is like a doctor that can save lives!" Taiju said, the fact that it saved Senku's life will always be a prove that this can be something truly revolutionary if humanity find the science behind it.

Higan realised what Taiju is trying to say. It was the same when Senku call a bar of soap the doctor in the stone world.

"Dr stone.. how ironic.." Higan chuckled.

Senku POV-

'it's bizarre, now that I think about it. "Undoing the petrification results in complete rejuvenation of the surrounding area" that's an oddly beneficial scientific phenomenon. I've been wondering this whole time... who turned humanity into stone?? who planted this attack?? Or..'

He thinks again, from different angles and perspectives.

'was it really.. an attack to begin with?'

I suddenly heard a comment from Yuzuriha that made me realise something.

"Yuzuriha.." I called and Yuzuriha looked at my way. "This would be 10 billion percent impossible for a block head like Taiju... but you with your dexterity and handcraft skills. You're the only one I can ask.." I said, I can see Higan's eyes flickering in our direction for a moment. I pay no mind to it, since it is fine even if she heard this.

"It's a risky mission, though.. you up for it?" I said and whispered to her about what I had in mind. She was stunned, it was quite amusing really..

'it's a dangerous mission..'

"That's completely nuts. Insane.. but I'll do it." Yuzuriha said to my request. I chuckled, I have complete faith in her. "Great, that was easy.." I grin and Yuzuriha looks slightly nervous. "What's the big secret?! No fair! lemme in on it!" Taiju said, his voice is as loud as ever.
