The Horse

Ali was completely shocked. Her jaw was literally hanging wide open. She just couldn't take it in. I mean a wild mare, galloping into a secret clearing which she had just discovered? That was a bit much. She just stared at the horse for what seemed like an eternity but was only five minutes. All the thoughts running through Ali's head at that moment were immense! Just her whole life had she dreamt about having a secret horse and now she has. Well, it's not actually hers but still. A horse comes galloping in from out of nowhere in to this secret glade? Tell me that's not crazy. Still may as well have a look at this amazing horse she thought.

So Ali shook her head and shut her mouth then began walking silently across the meadow towards the horse. She stopped under a tree that provided some shade for her. She just realized that it was about thirty degrees and she was wearing a polar fleece so she took that off as well. She looked up at the horse. The horse had noticed her but obviously thought grazing on the juicy green grass in front of her was more important. Now that Ali could see her properly she could tell a lot more about her.

The horse was a mare that was around the perfect weight. But if you had to know which side of the scale she was on she was probably a bit tubby. She was an arabian. Ali knew this because She had the dishy face and high tail carriage. Her hocks had dark dappled on them that faded out as the got nearer the body. Her nose would have been light pink but was at the moment covered in dirt from grazing. Her mane was rather long but looked amazing when she galloped in, but her tail was another story. It was so long that it dragged on the ground. Even worse than that, both mane and tail were dreadlocked and matted as well as being so dirty, they could have been brown. The same went for her coat. It would have been silky by the look of it, she thought. But covered in mud it definitely wouldn't.

Suddenly Ali phone started to ring.

BBBBRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!

"Ah! No!"

The horse had gotten a fright and took off galloping out of the clearing.

Ali sighed. "Who wants to hear my beautiful Voice?" she said to herself with a surprisinh amount of sarcasm. She took out her phone and saw the number of who was ringing her as it was still ringing. It was her mums. "OH MY GOSH!"

Ali took off sprinting out of the secret clearing, jumped on her bike and cycled away as quickly as she could with her mothers parcels.
