'Lixie-ah, brownies wake up.'

This was his favorite way of being woken up; with his mother's fingers threading through his scalp leaving him wanting to purr and hide away in her arms,

He felt so safe, so comfortable, so at peace-

But Felix decided to act fast asleep, wanting more of his mother's love. Since she liked to tease him until he whined and turned red then why couldn't he be a tease for once?

He shifted slightly, feeling her hands caress his cheek and couldn't really help the smile forming on his lips once she ticked near his ear,

'I know you're awake, open your eyes, honey.'

Felix blinked his eyes open, them turning crescents as he grinned all too wide and giddy, reaching out to hug his mother tightly;

The woman laughed wholeheartedly, letting the omega stick up to her,

She did miss his scent, soft and freshly baked brownies, and yet as she noticed the necklace around his neck, she felt relieved.

'I'm assuming my sunshine had a nice sleep, hmm?'

Felix nodded, smile not leaving his face as he swayed both him and his mother, the warmth of her arms around him and the familiarity of his never-ending love towards cuddles,

'I wanted to wake you up knowing you'd sleep in and later forget eating.'

Felix bit his lip with a sheepish expression on his face, knowing what she said was true. His initial plans had been to lie in, read a book, and simply wait for his mother. He hated having to wake up alone!

'Lix, sweetheart, I need to go to work. Remember I told you, it starts today? Hmm? Will you promise me to be alright whilst I return?'

Seeing the way the smile disappeared off her son's face, Seo-na could only sigh and cradle him close,

'You're safe here, sweetcheeks. Tell me, hmm, is there anything bothering you?'

Felix shook his head, somehow feeling rather apprehensive but that feeling was always there. And now that he was supposed to stay alone knowing his mother wasn't nearby, he wasn't sure how he was going to spend the day ahead, probably locked up in this room since he was still new and not yet familiar with everything out of the bound of the four walls he was held in.

Felix didn't say anything, as always, just kissed his mother's cheek and it was enough for the woman to understand, a silent approval from the boy that she could leave,

'Where's the phone?'

Felix stood up, the body still relaxed from his previous sleep, and quietly shuffled through the wardrobe, taking out the device that he rarely used and clicking it on,
