Out of all colleges why mine? Out of all people why him? The number of questions that kept circulating in my mind made time pass so quickly. As I stood up to go to lunch I was stopped by Mr.Jeong.
" Funny to see you here." He said with a smile showing his dimple and eye smile.
I was so flustered I didn't say anything. I simply walked away after picking up my belongings. Lola followed behind me as she waved goodbye to Mr.Jeong.
" That's insane!" she said as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder.
" I'll have to quit or find a new job. " I sighed as I rubbed my forehead and sat down at the nearest table to me in the lunchroom.
" If anyone finds out about my job or even him, I'll be done for. My future would be basically over." I said while slamming my forehead onto the table as tears slowly trickled down my cheek.
" I don't think you'll need to find a new job just yet. Maybe just wait until you find a new job before you quit." Lola said with a bit of optimism in her voice. " Besides as long as no one finds out you'll be fine. Just be safe about it." She said picking up her spoon and digging into her rice.
I stood up to go get my lunch thinking that no one would understand how I was feeling about this. I felt alone and stuck in an awkward position. At that moment I got a text from the club manager.
" You've been rented for an event this evening. He requested you wear a red dress and meet him at the club to be picked up. It's at 10! don't be late !"
I looked at this message hoping it was just some old man trying to make a good impression on some people and not Mr.Jeong.
Lunch was a blur after that as I continued my schedule per usual. I quickly went home, showered, and did my hair.
I pulled out a silky red dress that a client gave me as a gift when I first started at the club. I did my makeup, put on some red heels to match, and grabbed a white purse. and left to the club.
I played with my necklace as I walked there. I sighed as I looked up at the beautiful night sky. The breeze was amazing and slowly calmed my nerves. I looked at my phone and saw I was 30 minutes early. I went into the club and ordered a drink. I slowly sipped on it and waited anxiously for the client to appear.
I got a call telling me he was outside. I put my drink down and walked outside. His back faced me as I peeked around the corner. He was tall and his shoulders were wide.
He turned around hearing the sound of my heels clicking onto the pavement.
He smiled softly and put his hand out for a shake.
" Good evening, I'm Chanyeol."
I smiled back at him brightly, feeling relieved that it wasn't Jaehyun, and shook his hand.
" Hello! I'm Cherry. Thank you for renting me this evening"
" I picked you because I heard about your beauty from the clients that lingered at the bar. I am not disappointed." He smiled before opening the car door.
" Shall we?"
I smiled before entering the car and sitting down crossing my legs. I was surprised by how spacious the car was, assuming it was expensive.
" So, Cherry, do you host often? Is it your only income?" Chanyeol asked looking at his phone.
I shook my head yes before realizing he was on his phone and verbally answered, " Yes. I'm trying to just get by. It's not something that would be permanent." I rubbed my sweaty hands onto my dress before grabbing water that was sitting in the cup holder on my right.
I took a sip as Chanyeol hummed in response.
The car ride was awkward yet relaxing. We pulled up to our final location, a hotel.
Many cars and people standing outside talking or entering.
People looked at us as we pulled in, Chanyeol got out first and came to open my door. He held out his hand to assist me. I held onto his hand tightly afraid to have a wardrobe malfunction.
He smiled as he greeted people at the hotel entrance and we continued to talk until we got to the elevator. We stepped in and he pressed into the top floor.
" So, Chanyeol, what is it that you do? You seem pretty important." I said looking at his shoulders kind of nervous to make eye contact with him.
" Me? I'm just a rich kid trying to impress my dad so I can be considered heir of the company." He chuckled as the elevator door opened and he gestured for me to go first.
We walk into this beautiful room. Art hanging on every wall, a red carpet following the whole floor plan, and white tables with people's names on them. Multiple crystal chandeliers on the ceiling. I was simply amazed by the room and it felt as though I didn't belong.
Chanyeol wrapped his arm around my waist gently as we made our way to a table that was surrounded by multiple older men and women. People looked at us and whispered among themselves.
" My son, finally you're here. And who is this?" said Chanyeol's father.
" This is Cherry, my girlfriend," Chanyeol said smiling at me causing me to become wide-eyed.
I blushed and looked over at his father and smiled before bowing.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," I said nervously.
" The pleasure is all mine. Please sit." Chanyeol's father responded.
Chanyeol pulled out a chair for me as we sat at the table. We ate and talked about life. I discovered that Chanyeol's father owned this hotel and many others around the city. Chanyeol is up against his two older brothers to become heir.
" Good evening!~, " said a female voice from behind Chanyeol and me, interrupting our conversation.
We turned around and my eyes widened to see a woman with Jaehyun wrapped around her. He looked at me pretty stunned as the women greeted everyone including Chanyeol.
" What are you doing here? "
