Monday morning came and I felt awfully sick. My head was pounding and I felt as though I would throw up. As much as I wanted to stay home and watch Netflix all day, I had promised Caleb I would go to school. I get up grab an apple and take two tablets for my head. I get changed and complete my everyday morning routine. I leave home and walk towards the bus stop. I wasn't planning on catching the bus but thanks to my enormous headache, I didn't feel like walking.

I wait 10 minutes before the bus pulls up to my stop. I quickly get on and pay the bus driver. I take a seat near the back and look around. There is an elder woman seating down the front with many bags. A couple of kids from my school are scattered around the bus and there is a young guy standing right near the door. I watch as the bus drives, stopping twice for the young guy and elder woman. The bus nears my school and everyone starts to pick up their bags and stand up. The bus stops and I hop off with the other kids from my school. I walk from the bus stop to school and as I reach the school I see Caleb getting out of the car with the help of his mum. I rush over to help.
"Hey Alex," Caleb's mum greets me, "Do you mind helping me get Caleb out?"
"Yeah sure," I reply. Caleb's mum and I support Caleb on each side of him. We slowly lift him out and onto his wheelchair.
"Thanks babe," Caleb smiles at me.
"Don't babe me," I reply but honestly I am dying inside. The way babe just rolled of his tongue so naturally made my heart jump.
"Why not?" He smirks.
"Because I'm not your babe."
"Soon you will be."
"Not in your wildest dreams," I say before thinking about it.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Very sure."
"Oh really because I reckon you're thinking about kissing me right now," Caleb smirks. I feel myself blush and before I know it I lean towards Caleb and kiss him.
"I guess you were right," I smirk as I pull away. Caleb looks shocked but his expression quickly changes and he looks pleased. Luckily his mum wasn't watching, she was getting Caleb's bag. After Caleb says his goodbyes, I wheel him into school. I push him towards the terrace where Valerie and Blake are already seated.
"Hey guys," I say and wheel Caleb into the gap on the side of the table.
"Oh hey," Valerie replies but quickly turns her attention to Caleb, "How are you feeling?"
I roll my eyes and plug my earphones in. I did not want to hear them talk about Caleb's legs again. I feel Caleb's hand make it's way on to my thigh. I push it away. Does he think that because I quickly kissed him, he could immediately get to me? It's not that easy. The bell ring signalling we should make our way to our lockers. I take my earphones out and say quick goodbyes to Valerie and Blake. I wheel Caleb towards my locker.
"Why'd you push my hand away?" Caleb asks when we reach my locker. I don't answer and continue pulling out everything I need. Caleb pushes into my leg a little and raises his eyebrows at me.
"Just because I kissed you doesn't mean we are suddenly a thing ok?" I reply and turn back to my locker. As much as I wanted Caleb I wanted him to work for it.
"But I-"
"Forget about the kiss, okay?" I swing back around and whisper angrily, "It was a stupid decision and I regret it."

With that, I know I've made a big mistake.
