We Meet Again

SEVEN YEARS LATER-

Goh POV

I have caught a Scorbunny which evolved into Raboot which evolved into Cinderace. I also have gotten a Grookey and a few other Pokémon. I am still a research fellow at Cerise Laboratory even after ... that incident.

Then I am forced to go to high school for all regions by my friend Chloe. After I closed my locker I saw a black haired, brown eyed boy with a Pikachu on his shoulder.

Wait- I know that guy.

Goh: Oh, it's you.

Ash POV

It's been seven years since I separated from Goh. Now I am at a high school for all regions and I was forced to go by my mom. I have caught a Riolu which hatched from an egg and it evolved into Lucario. I am with Pikachu at school and I close my locker. Suddenly I see a black haired blue eyed boy closing his locker also.

Wait - I know that guy.

He made the first move.

Goh: Oh, it's you.

After a few moments of silence I replied too..

Ash: Ummm... hey.... Goh.....?

Goh: Hey.

I have a flashback about the major argument that ended our short lived friendship. At least he bothered to say 'hey' to me.

Ash: Ummm... so...how's Kanto?

Goh: It's fine. Alola?

Ash: It's fine too.

I noticed a Grookey next to his shoulder.

Ash: You caught a Grookey?

All Goh did was nod. Then we were both saved from this awkward moment by the bell.

Goh: Saved by the bell. Thank goodness.

Ash: Yeah, um bye!

Goh waved and left.

I cannot blame him. I am slightly regretful of saying that I don't need him as a friend. The journeys I could've gone on with him; I could've been there to see Grookey being caught!

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash: No buddy, I cannot make it up to him. He already hates me so why should I make him hate me more?

Pikachu: Pikachu...

Ash: Let's go, Pikachu. We don't wanna hear the tardy bell.

Tardy bell rings in the back ground-

Ash: Oh come on!

Goh POV

I sat down in class and surprise surprise I am sitting next to Ash Ketchum. I am with my friend Chloe here and she dragged me along into this stupid mess.

Ms. Cherish: Hello everyone, I am Ms. Cherish. I will be your teacher for 12th grade. Now everyone bring out your books.......what is going on?

I noticed Grookey was hitting everyone's Pokémon with his stick.

Goh: Grookey! You're not supposed to do that here!

I caught Ash snickering. I threw a Poke ball at him for payback.

Ash: Ow!!

Goh: That was for laughing at me.

Then Pikachu started laughing.

Pikachu: Pika! Pika! Pika!

I growl in frustration but choose to ignore it and roll my eyes. Then I returned Grookey to it's Poke Ball.

Goh: Sorry Ms. Cherish, it'll never happen again.

Ash: Knowing you, probably not.

Goh: "Leave me alone, will you?!"

Ash got up from his seat

Ash: Were you mocking me?!

Goh: Yes I was. Apparently i succeeded in annoying you.

I also stood up.

Ash: Why you little!!

Ms. Cherish: ENOUGH! I will not have arguments in my classroom! Ash Ketchum and Goh! Report to the Principal's office right now!

We got out of the classroom

Ash: Ughhh! It was all your Grookey's fault! Now I have detention!

Goh: Don't you go blaming Grookey!!

Ash: You're the one who mocked me!

Goh: "You're the one who mocked me,"

Ash: Grrrrr!! I hate you so much, that you could get blasted by a very powerful Pokémon and I wouldn't even look at you.

I paused at that.

Ash POV

Goh was silent for a good few minutes. Did I hurt his feelings? I don't care if I did. Right? Goh looked away from me and sighed.
He hates me doesn't he? I shouldn't have said that. I should apologize.

Ash: Goh, I'm-

Goh: Shut it.

Ash: Goh I'm sorry I didn't mean-

Goh: No really, shut it. Apparently you don't care about my feelings and you could care less if I die or not. All this time I thought you changed. I thought you were a good friend now, but I was wrong. Some things never change.

Ash: Goh, I'm-

Goh: Don't, even, try.

I sighed. I really shouldn't have said that. I tried to apologize, but Goh being Goh rejected it. It was pure silence on the way to detention.

And it was pure silence at detention too; until the teacher, Ms. Young came in.

Ms. Young: You've been bad enough to go to detention, Ash and Goh?

Ash and Goh: Yes ma'am

Ash: me and Goh had an argument, but he mocked me in the first place.

Goh: Hey I only did that because you had doubts about my responsibility of Pokémon! So shut up you!

Ms. Young: You two should quiet down before I write both of you up!

Ash: Sorry ma'am....

Goh: It'll never happen again.

Ms. Young: It better not!! Now stay quiet. I'm going to the restroom and I better not hear another argument.

Ms. Young left.
