Ash POV

After Ms. Young left, it was pure silence.

I really shouldn't have said I didn't care about Goh's wellbeing.

Wait- no I don't.

We're enemies.

The friendship was short lived.

Maybe I should've accepted Goh as my friend-

No. It would've been a huge mess that I got myself into.

Maybe I shouldn't have helped the Ivysaur as that's what started the argument-

WHAT THE HECK ASH KETCHUM?!

Pikachu: Pika?

Ash: You just had to break the silence, didn't you?

Pikachu: Pika Pi.

Goh: Looks like Pikachu takes after you.

Pikachu: Pika-Chu!

Ash: Yeah I guess so.

It was silent for a few moments.

Okay you know what? Time to light up the conversation.

Ash: Remember when we rode Lugia? You petted Pikachu and he shocked you a little?

Goh: Yeah I remember. And by the way why'd you do that Pikachu!?

Pikachu: Pikachu!!

I laughed

Goh: That's not even the best part, ya know. Before you left forever Chloe asked us if we were dating. You were well, as red as a Magikarp!

Ash: Hey I wasn't that red!

Goh gave me an "oh sure" look

Ash: Hey the best comparison is a Scizor.

Goh: Yeah sure whatever you say.

Ash: You were bright red too you know.

Goh turned red at that statement and looked away in embarrassment.

Goh: S-Shut up!!

Ash: Nah..

Ms. Young came in again

Ms. Young: Hello both of you. Have you had an argument?

Ash: No ma'am. We were good.

Pikachu: Pika Pi!

Goh: Yeah we were good.

Ms. Young: Good.

Then the bell rang

Ms. Young: Detention dismissed!!

We got out of the classroom. Goh let out his Grookey and his Grookey perched on his shoulder.

Ash: I just realized, if you caught a Grookey then you should've caught Mew, right?

Goh: Well, ummm....not really?

Ash: Wowwwww...

Goh: Don't start with me! I caught a bunch of other Pokémon like an Inteleon and a Cinderace!

Ash: Oh yeah?

Goh: Shut it!

Then our eyes widened. Goh sighed as he looked away from me, remembering about the argument we had before we got into the detention room.

Then we got outside of the building, where all of the kids pushed passed us, rushing to get to the school bus or to get to their parents. Me and Goh waved goodbye and we got to our cars.

Delia: So how was school?

Ash: ...It was good.

Delia: I heard you got detention on the first day, Ash. Along with Goh. Isn't he the boy from Vermillion City that is a research fellow for the Cerise Laboratory?

Ash: Um, yes.

Delia: We'll talk about your punishment when we get home.
