================================

Light trickles through the window, the curtains fluttering as the shadows they cast dance along the wall. Leo is curled by your feet. You slowly raise your head and feel a dull stiffness in your body, dizzy and in pain you wince and your breath catches in your throat. Slowly bending your arm it feels almost as if bones were scraping against each other, it was slightly painful but more than anything uncomfortable. It would almost seem like you were stone coming to life as you bend and flex your limbs with difficulty trying to warm your joints up. A moment of calm washed over as the light flooded the room and then the realisation of last night finally hits you like a carriage. Your bottom lip begins to quiver as you cry to yourself "Shit! Shit, what have I done... What the hell do I do now??" You cry out loud as you look towards Leo on the floor who was startled awake by your cries. He lets out a small meow and stretches up towards your leg, his small but sharp claws clinging to your skin. As the tears run down your cheeks you try to wipe them away in vain as they seem unending. Picking him up you cradle him in your arms, softly stroking his soft and almost frail back as you sit there half-naked with flecks of dried blood scattered across your face and arms, the 'bath' had not gotten rid of it all last night, it was a grim reminder of what took place.  Standing up shakily you begin to walk over to the porcelain bowl placing Leo down softly onto the counter as you look inside the bowl, there is just a small bit of water remaining, using what was left you thoroughly clean yourself making sure to get rid of all the dried blood. It made you feel cold as the warmth of the sun bathed parts of you which made your body a little confused from the conflicting temperature, thoughts race through your head from everything that happened last night to what is going to happen next. The way you lost control terrified you deeply. Perhaps it has been the circumstances that caused it, the fear and dread from your past mixed in with the innocent women being exploited, whatever it was you hated it. Taking slow deep breaths you look towards Leo who is now crying out for breakfast a soft smile crosses your face.

"I haven't forgotten about your breakfast, don't worry..." bending down and opening the cupboard you pull out a metal tin that had a label stating 'Canned Meat', it was not for human consumption however, it was just for Leo. Opening it you carefully scoop out the foul-smelling contents, placing the chunks of meat onto a slightly chipped plate. Quickly placing the bowl down in front of Leo, he greedily gobbles it up making cute nom sounds as he eats. You run your fingers through your hair, eyes once again threatening to cry, but you pull back and take a deep breath not wanting to give in any further. Walking over to the embers of the fire you poke around to ensure all of the dress had been destroyed. You look around the small, damp room you called home. You feel a sense of helplessness as you doubt you can stay here much longer but then where would you go? Perhaps across the Thames you could find another house, maybe a flat, or move into the countryside. Ideas flooded your mind as you sigh, not knowing what to do. It seemed silly to move to another part of London, there would still be the danger of getting caught by the bobbies. Finally deciding to get dressed you shiver as the water still clings to your skin. Throwing on a plain brown dress you glance back towards Leo who had finished his meal and was now looking out of the window, his meows soothing you a little. You continue to watch him for a while as you sit on a chair, he stretches up onto the glass looking at something quite intensely, you smile softly before looking at the ground still unsure of what to do next. Before you know it there is a knock on the door, fear begins rising up inside of you. Freezing you stare at the door as another knock is heard, a pause before another knock followed by a voice

"Hello? Is anyone in at the moment?" Your heart flutters with relief as you recognise the voice, it is the strange, tall butler. 'Why is he here?' runs through your head as you gradually stand up from the chair, walking to the door you pause before slowly opening it a fraction. You peek out and see him smiling, his eyes lock onto your face. The daylight made it a lot easier to see his eyes, they were a reddish-brown colour of sorts, just like amber. "Ah, you are in, excellent. Oh my, you look a little under the weather are you alright?" His voice is smooth and calm with a hint of concern, worry begins to creep across his face as he looks at you. "Oh, I'm just a little drained is all. How may I help...?" He smiles once again "I must thank you for letting me know about the wonderful places of this area, my young master was quite satisfied with his visit." You smile in response before slightly opening the door further. "I'm glad to have helped you." A loud meow startles you as Leo screeches from the counter looking towards the butler. "Oh gosh, Leo! I am sorry he seems to really like you" He continues to smile as he looks towards the kitten "It is no worries, I think he is just perfect, though all cats are." He seems to adore cats, that you can easily tell. A little nervous to be close to the outside world, you clear your throat. "Well thank you for stopping by but I must rest now".
