Y/N'S P.O.V.

The second your arms reach Itadori's, he pulls you in tight. The relief that washes over you is like nothing you've ever felt before. You can hardly believe that this is real. That you've finally been found. You've missed him so much.

Rain continues to cascade around you, but in this moment, none of it matters. The world fades away as he leans in, his lips meeting yours in a kiss that takes your breath away. For a moment, it's just the two of you, wrapped up in each other's arms. You close your eyes and let the feeling of him wash over you. You never want to let go.

When he finally pulls away, he rests his forehead against yours, looking deep into your eyes. And then you remember your two other friends standing nearby. You suddenly pull back, your heart pounding in your chest. The reality of your situation floods back into your mind as you see your two friends, looking at you with a mixture of surprise and understanding.

"I hate to ruin this tender moment," Nobara interrupts, "but we really need to get going. This rain isn't going to stop anytime soon."

You look up at Itadori, who is still gazing down at you with concern in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" He asks.

"You told them?" you gulp, surprised that Nobara is able to be so calm. She must have been bugging Itadori with questions the whole time you were gone.
Itadori nods, his hand cupping your cheek, wiping away tears.

"Yeah, but what's really important is that you're safe now, Y/N. Let's get you out of here."

"What happened?" Nobara asks as the four of you begin to walk back to your campsite.

"You know that store we went to not far from here?" you begin.

Immediately, Nobara gasps. "It wasn't that cute cashier, was it? I knew he was too nice to be true! And to think that he seemed like such a sweet guy. I should have known better, right Fushiguro? What a creep! And you two were alone?"

"No, not him," you roll your eyes. "It was actually the guy standing in line behind us. Who knew he was that much of a fucking creep."

You then continue to explain to your friends what had happened, leaving out a few details like when he fed you that nasty oatmeal, thinking some things were better left unsaid.

When you arrive back at your campsite, a tall figure
sits underneath the shelter. Your heart skips a beat.

The kidnapper.

He stands up, walking towards the four of you. His hands are stuffed into the pockets of his sweatshirt.

"Is that him?" Itadori whispers to you.

"Yeah," you nod, trying not to let your fear show.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Fushiguro then barks at him. "This is our stuff, get out!"

Your heart begins to pound in your chest. How dare he have the audacity to stand here and act like nothing had happened.

"I'll go," he shrugs. "But there's one thing I need first. My little test subject. Hand her over and I won't bother you any longer. You can have all of this junk, but she needs to come with me. We have some unfinished business to take care of."

"Not a chance in hell," Itadori chimes in as he stands in front of you protectively.

Your two other friends also step in front of you, making a wall between you and the man who took everything from you.

"Get the hell out of here," Nobara glares at him. You hadn't noticed before, but she's got a hatchet in her hand.

"Fine," the kidnapper shrugs, turning his back on you. "I guess we'll just have to do this the hard way."

The three of your friends look at each other. You know this guy isn't a curse and he most likely isn't a curse user either, so he probably doesn't know just what he's getting himself into.

Either way, Nobara lifts up her hatchet and chucks it in the air, watching as it lodges itself deep into the kidnapper's shoulder.

He cries out, falling to his knees. He reaches for the handle, pulling it out.

"What the fuck did you do that for?" he cries, looking down at the hatchet in his hands.

"It was a warning," Nobara grins. "Now, leave. Don't make us kill you. Not yet, at least. I'll give you a five minute head start. After that, we're coming after you. I don't like the idea of killing someone like you, but you're really starting to piss me off. Don't push me."

The man gets up, holding the hatchet close to his body. His eyes dart over to you. You can see the hatred seething behind his glare.

"I'll be back for you," he threatens, backing away.

"You're welcome to try," Itadori scoffs, but I doubt you'll be able to without getting your head pulled off first."

The four of you then watch the kidnapper retreat into the woods.

"Man, what should we do with all his stuff now?"

Nobara asks, kicking a can. "Do we really have to stick around to pack it all up?"

"Leave it," Fushiguro replies. "We should get the hell out of here and let the ranger know what we saw."

"Yeah," Itadori agrees. "Let's get the hell out of here."

Nobara goes over to her backpack and begins to stuff a few items in it. "Well, since he isn't coming back, I'm taking this."

"Come on," Itadori then squeezes your hand, "Let's get you in the car."

"I'll pack her things," Fushiguro offers, receiving a nod from Itadori.

After he places you in the passenger seat and buckles your seatbelt, Itadori turns to Nobara.

"I'll ride back here with her," he says.

"You sure?" She raises her eyebrows, glancing at you.

"Yeah," Itadori smiles, climbing in next to you. He takes your hand again, his warmth comforting.

Fushiguro soon loads the car and starts the engine. The four of you then make the ride back to the ranger's station.

"How long was I gone?" you ask, your head resting on Itadori's shoulder.

"About two days," Itadori whispers. "But it felt like forever."

"I'm sorry I couldn't call for help," you say, thinking back to the way he had tied your wrists to the tree.

"None of this was your fault, Y/N. Please don't apologize."

You squeeze his hand as a silent thank you. You're just glad he found you.

When you arrive at the ranger's station, the four of you step out and explain to the ranger everything that happened. You mark on his map the spots that you had memorized from the kidnapper's map of the campgrounds, showing him exactly where the creep was staying.

"You four go home and get some rest now, and thank you for bringing this to my attention. I'll send some rangers over right away."

"Thank you," the four of you nod and then return to the car.

On the way back, you can't help but let out a sigh of relief. The ordeal is finally over. Now, all you can do is look forward to spending the rest of the break with your friends and enjoying every single minute.
