Chapter 16

Sharing a bed for the first time

Harry

Harry doesn't know what to do. He woke up sweating in the middle of the night again. Another nightmare. He sighs and gets out of bed, all he wants right now is you. He goes to the/your common room and to his luck you couldn't sleep either and just sitting there.

"Y-Y/N?!" He asks you why you're not sleeping.

He's actually very concerned and forgets about his own issue. He suggests you sleep with him for the night to make sure YOU can sleep well. He doesn't want to mention it' ll also help him. He grabs your hand and leads you up/back to his dorm, remaining quiet as to not wake up the other boys. He doesn't want to explain himself. He crawls into bed and awkwardly pats the bed for you to join. Once you lay down with him he automatically wraps his arms around you and gently pushss your head to fall on his chest. He lies awake wanting to make sure you go to sleep ok and also a little scared to go to sleep again. Hoping to god he doesn't have another nightmare. He just holds you tightly and stares up at the ceiling, focusing on how you feel. Your touch is how he grounds himself. He eventually slips into a peaceful sleep for the first time in so long. Almost sleeps in too long because he's never been so comfortable and well rested before.

Ron

He's just laying in bed with his hands behind his head and sighs, staring at the ceiling thinking about you. He just wishes you were next to him so he could cuddle you. He starts thinking about how nice it would be to actually cuddle you. The next day he casually brings up this thought like it's no big deal.

"Yeah, I was just thinking how nice it'd be. Wouldn't you say so? You think it'd be nice too right?"

He's blushing as he looks at you with hopeful eyes that you'll pick up on his hint.

"I mean..... you should come to my dorm tonight. It'd be stupid not to try it out..... we both agree it'd be nice right??"

His eyes are practically begging you. He grins ear to ear when you agree to follow him to bed tonight. He excitedly pulls you to bed with him, accidentally making you fall onto him but he grabs you at once so you can't fix your position. He just wants you closer. He rests his head against yours and press his lips to the side of your head occasionally. He just talks to you in a low voice about random things until you start to drift. He yawns all the time. He murmurs so incoherent things as he also drifts off to sleep. His grip ends up loosening on you and he moves in his sleep so he ends up taking most of the bed and spreading out without realizing. He snores loudly and also drools. But he murmurs your name once in a while.

Draco

He's nearly having a full on panic attack at night. He crying and heaving. He really needs you, he can't keep doing this on his own, it's tiring. He just wants help. You're the only one he trusts. He'll try anything to get to you, if you're in your dorm he'll ask any female student that's awake to go get you for him, he doesn't care. But he won't explain himself. When you finally reach him he just grabs you and pulls you with him to his room. He kicks everyone out of the dorm and breaks down the second you're alone.

"P-please..... stay with me tonight.... p-please..."

He sits up on the bed, trying to calm his crying and breathing as you rub his back. His eyes hurt from all the crying, all red and puffy. He's completely embarrassed.

"You think I'm some pathetic little coward now don't you? Go ahead. Laugh."

He looks up when you when you don't respond. You reassure him that he's allowed to have feelings and it doesn't make him pathetic. He doesn't know how to handle your caring words so he silently lays down and grabs you to pull you on top of him. He plays with your hair and listens to your breathing for a while. When he thinks you've fallen asleep he'll whsiepr how you're the best thing to happen to him, he'll thank you and wonder how he got so lucky. He tenderly kisses the top of your head. He falls asleep holding you and will not let go.
