Later finding out that it is for a mental illness! Also with Veronica's research she thought it was nothing but over the time period of the murders all the dates matched days that he was at 1 of the large building sites around the town. Which explains the hard labor work boots. Of course they knew what that meant, it wasp hard to sleep but as soon as the town opened for the day they went straight to the police station to file their findings. it went to the Supreme Court and the Mayor was found guilty of all 9 murders!
