The second week of trading proceeded just as the boys predicted. More females were in attendance and to my delight there were also a few more exotic goods. From this haul, we have procured coconuts, sugar beets, tomatoes, and figs. Our new batches of soap are sold out. We also accepted a couple of commissions. March has taken on the task of creating them as they are for some of his fellow healers and wants to experiment with different ingredients to help alleviate certain skin ailments.
The food, as ever, still gathered an eager crowd. We have kept the amount created to the same as the previous week. With the addition of milk and sugar beets we were also able to create a couple of sweet treats such as fudge and rice pudding.
Marsh has moved in, and Alder is a constant within our home, either with me or the boys.
I cannot believe how much we have managed to accomplish this week with the additional two males.
March and I have been experimenting with dyeing some of the wool and cotton I have turned into threads. With not having a fully functional loom, I have stuck to weaving bracelets and necklaces. The coloured thread has also been used with the pouches, clothing and bags.
Rowans exercise class has been continuing. Expanding to include cardio, strength and endurance using weights, running, and calisthenics.
Ethan has focused of procuring unusual products and making sure our current supplies are adequate.
Alder, as promised has asked his two admins to assist in the organisational side of things. They have been a dream and such a hoot. Linden and Kane have persuaded us to take on two orphan teenagers to look after the house and receive our deliveries whilst we travel.
Between the four of them the house has been extended and modified.
Marsh now has a separate storage area for his medicines.
Two further rooms have been cut out. One for the teenagers to live in and the other for future use or excess storage.
The toilet has been completed with both a throne for me and a separate sand pit for the men. A separate room behind this has been formed into a bathing area.
The half wall at the front of the house has been extended to the roof, and a couple of windows installed. The connecting wall to the living room has been removed.
The kitchen area has been moved towards the western side of our home to allow easier access to the water supply we have channelled from the top of the waterfall.
The room used for the adventure plans and workshop ideas has also been extended forward, to house the growing stores we plan to use for the workshops.
All of the stone that has been carved out has been repurposed. I now have an exterior processing and experimenting area with a table and plenty of shelving.
On my visit to the market on its final day I spotted some wheat amongst the grasses. Alder approached the male manning the stall to see if he can procure any more for us and send to Glesall, once it has been harvested. Alder suggested using his small home to store it for now, until a larger property can be found.
Also bumped into Rose and a couple of other females and ended up inviting them over for lunch. The two females accompanying Rose introduce themselves as; Sage mated to Maros the scorpion from the Council and Misty mated to Stone the turtle from the Council. They eyed up my purchases, almost salivating when talking about the foods my family have created. Feeling brave I suggest they come round for a tea party, allowing me two days to prepare. They ask if another can join. Ivy mated to the phoenix Bren, again from the Council, was not present as she is still feeding a litter of bears.
