It's the height of summer and life is fantastic.

The main buildings needed are finally built.

We have basic housing for all, with opportunities for expansion where required.

Families and current heads of departments are housed on the pinnacle.

Unmated males housed surrounding the town square.

We took a vote on currency. Although it is great that we have not had to rely on crystals so far, other villages and cities do.

It was decided to start charging rent, facilities and trade for newcomers. The monies gained from this back into the village. For those that started this village, we were to evenly distribute what we have gathered.

From hence forth we will begin trading amongst ourselves.

We made sure that everyone has shelter, furs, food and the basics; cooking utensils and some food to get started.

We are encouraging them to make wares to trade, utilising the free market stall or shop provided for the founding members.

That being said, if any are struggling, they can still ask for assistance. This village is for all, not a select few.

Clay, Rowan and Arron have been available for the upcoming festival, be it ideas or offers for assistance.

The village is taking shape. Initial plans have been completed, and further plans set in motion.

At the base of the pinnacle, at the top of the town square, excavations have started on the government type buildings. Contained within the rock face we hope to create separate offices for the heads of the departments and one large room for our regular meetings.

The large meeting room will be the first to be carved as Glen wishes to spend his time over winter carving the individual offices. Saying they deserve to be just as spectacular as the village.

For now, we have one large temporary structure where we hold meetings.

The town square is situated at our original base camp. An open space, fire pits tables and chairs spread out. Trees replanted and shrubs moved in to provide shelter and greenery. Glen's sculptures strategically placed throughout. A living area to meet, walk and eat.

Surrounding that are the first shops for trade. Smaller than the communal workshops, but large enough to display and store their wares.

Now that the basic structures are in place, our focus has moved onto other areas of concern.

Temple for worship and gratitude has begun, led by McBurney and Glen. This is being built opposite the town hall, across the town square.

Spurred on by communications with our close friends and relatives a courier system has been set up between several cities and villages.

Due to the travel created by the courier system, more items have been salvaged from the Citadel. Cheese, flour, furs, material and herb stores. Such simple things that add to this wonderful life.

We have has a steady influx of people wishing to join the village. This prompted an initiation programme to be created. Following an initial screening by Thorne and Rowan, the hopeful beastmen spend at least a week being put through their paces, learning their strengths, weaknesses and personalities. They are kept to the outskirts of the village until they have successfully passed the programme.

Clay and Ethan have been busy preparing for the autumn festival. Again, with thanks to courier system we have preliminary numbers of the females who will be visiting, along with others wishing to trade and join in the games.
