The morning fog covered the huge university ground, making it visible upto a certain limit of visibility. Iseul had her hands tucked in her hoodie pocket as she blasted some music through her headphones to keep herself early this morning.
She was there for this bullshit game, yeah, she was waiting for Jake apparently. She quickly wore her smile as soon as she saw him approaching her, trying to look as adorable as possible as she shabbied her hair, covering her eyes.
"I am happy to see you as we promised." Jake said with a puppy smile, wearing his rugby dress, his helmet tucked under his hand. "Me too." She tried replying with a tone as low as possible. "It seems like you guys are having a practice match this morning." Iseul said as she gladly accepted the strawberry milk that Jake had brought for her.
"Do you know what is beautiful about this life?" Jake asked her, to which she replied a 'no'. "Although life is full of thorns, you don't really know when an angel walks straight upto you and hit you with the arrow of cupid." He winked at her, her smile healing him. "What if the angel you assumed was a devil?" She smirked at him, as she got up and walked away, leaving him pondering upon her words for a few seconds before he got up, his eyes turning wide as he saw the rugby ball approaching her.
He quickly ran to her, and dodged the rugby, glaring at his teammates who threw it as they all mumbled their apologies to him as Iseul stood there, her eyes fixated on him as he too, gazed into her eyes with the same proximity as her. "Thanks for that." She smiled politely at him as they parted their ways. "You guys really got to learn a lesson today." He patted the back of a junior who presumably threw the ball carelessly towards Iseul.
"Yo, Jay! What's up?" Iseul shook her hand with that of Jay's who smiled grumpily towards her as if he hadn't had a brink of sleep. "You went for the street racing last night?" She asked him, getting quite invested into the topic of it. "Yes, I did." He shortly replied, dumping his things into the locker.
"So when are you going to take me over there? I really want to experience the night racing for once." She held his hand lightly, persuading him to let her join her. "Don't even think of going there ever, it's dangerous." His gaze turned serious, which resulted in the topic getting dropped. The glint in her eyes told otherwise.
She was really determined to go there and there she was. There was ear deafening music being played, people clubbing in funky clothes, probably high. She felt out of the crowd and hence decided to drown herself with the alcohol too. 'One night being wasted wouldn't matter.' She thought by herself as she took a shot.
She felt her adrenaline kicking in as she took, danced to the beats of the funky music, enjoying it to her fullest. All of a sudden, her mood dulled down.
Like an emo she was, she sat at the corner while drinking glasses over glasses, getting high till she couldn't feel the ecstasy engulfing her into the arms of a street racer.
"Jay-ah, you never told us you got a girl, hmm?" Wooyung nudged his shoulders teasingly as the said man took off his expensive helmet, to see the girl who was hugging him from the back.
He took off his riding gloves as clutched her hand in his. "Woah, you scared me!" Jay was taken aback as he finally noticed who she was.
A grumpy looking Iseul glared back at him as he tried to detach himself from her grip. "What the heck are you doing here, hmm?" He whispered in his raspy voice in her ear. "I remember telling you not to be here this really morning, right?" He gazed into her eyes as he held her jaw. She moved her face closer to him to kiss, but she was backed off by Jay.
"Don't do something you would regret." He said as he detached himself from her. A playful smirk sat back on his face as he got on his lamborghini veneno as the crowd cheered for him as he revved the engine, which thrilled him even more.
He was leading the race as soon as it started, speeding up even more, his eyes fixated on the track ahead of him. He covered a total of seven laps, and that's when the race finally ended. The crowd celebrated his winnings as fireworks went off and the bag of cash was handed to him.
His eyes wandered around to find Iseul, who was nowhere to be seen. He packed up his stuff and went to find her as the party went on. He fumed in anger as he found her dancing with another man. Unable to control his wrath, he landed a punch on the man's face. "What the fuck is your problem dude?" The man winced in pain as blood dripped down his lips.
"She is mine, back off loser." He swiftly grabbed Iseul by her hand, making her crash into his chest. After giving a last annoying glance at that man, he decided to leave the party alongside Iseul who was pretty much high.
