Safe for Now (Beverly Marsh x Reader)

Beverly's Apartment

Y/N's POV
The next morning, I heard a knock on my door. I woke up by the person shaking me and I noticed it was Bill.

"Bill? What are you doing here," I asked sleepily.

"Beverly wants us to go over to her place like right now," he told me. I nodded and threw him out of my room, to change of course, then ran out with him and down to our bikes. We biked over as fast as possible and met the rest of the gang on the way. Once we got there, we dropped our bikes and saw Beverly run down her fire escape.

"You made it," she said relieved, "I need to show you something."

"What is it?"

"More than we saw at the quarry," Richie asked jokingly.

"Shut up, just shut up," Eddie told him sternly and annoyed.

"My dad will kill me if he finds out I had boys in the apartment," Beverly explained.

"Then w-we'll leave a lookout," Bill reassured her, "Richie, stay here."

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! What if her dad comes back," Richie exclaims.

Stan was the one to reply to him, "do what you always do, start talking."

"It is a gift," Richie yelled back.

"Clearly not all the time," I yelled back to him.

The group then made it all to outside of the bathroom and there was a red glow through the doors crack.

"In there," Beverly told us.

"What is it," Stan asked her.

"You'll see," she responded in a tone which kinda freaked me out.

"Are you taking us to your bathroom," Eddie asked.

"Eddie calm down it's not that bad," I told him.

"I just want you to know that 80% of the worst accidents in homes are caused in the bathroom. And I mean that's where all the bacteria and fungi are and it's not really a sanitary place," he added.

"If you're so concerned about it then you can go stay outside with your boyfriend," I joked.

He grumbled, annoyed, "I am not staying out there with somewhat that annoying."

He didn't deny it.

Bill then opened the door and all we saw was red. The whole bathroom was covered in red blood. Everything from the sink to the walls to the tub.

"You see it," Beverly asked us.

"What happened in here," Stan asked.

"My dad couldn't see it. I thought I might be crazy," she told us.

"Your dad couldn't see this," I asked using my hands to refer to the blood filled room.

"Well, if you're crazy, then we're all crazy," Bill reassures her, "w-we can't l-leave it like this."

After he said that, we got to work. Cleaning everything up. I helped clean the sink and mirror while everyone else cleaned other things. I decided to take a small break towards the end and walked out of the bathroom to breathe. I looked down at the locket and saw a small bit of blood on it. I wiped it off and sighed. I'm never gonna find him am I? I then looked over and saw Ben looking into Beverly's room. That's a little odd but it's not my problem. I went back into the bathroom and saw that they were pretty much done. We all decided it was good enough and went back outside.

"I love being your personal doorman, really," Richie said sarcastically while riding his bike around us, "could you idiots have taken any longer?"

"All right, shut up Richie," Eddie scolded him.

"Yeah, shut up," Stan reiterated.

"Oh okay. Trash the trashmouth, I get it," Richie said annoyed.

Richie kept being annoying so I just tuned him out. "I-I-I saw something too," I heard Bill say and I looked over.

"You saw blood too," Stan asked him, I was just as curious.

"Not blood," he told us, "I-I s-saw Georgie..."

"I saw him too," I whispered.

"What Y/N," Stan asked.

"Nothing," I said quickly and looked down.

"It seemed so real," Bill told us, "I mean it seemed l-like... but there was t-this-."

"The clown," Eddie said in a scared tone but completing Bill's sentence, "yeah I saw him too."

"Wait can only virgins see this stuff? Is that why I'm not seeing this shit," Richie asked.

"Or maybe only idiots can't see it," I replied sassily.

"Oh shit that's Belch Huggins' car," Eddie pointed out.

I started to daze out, not paying attention to some of the guys when Bill snapped me out of it.

"Wait isn't that homeschooled kids bike?"

"Yeah that's Mike's."

"We have to help him," Beverly said, dropping her bike and ran down the hill. I quickly followed and then the rest of the group.
