Quarry Fun

Eddie's POV
I wanted to do something fun today cause I didn't wanna stay with my mom the entire day. I decided to call everyone. No order in particular, just Richie first. I asked all of them if they wanted to hang at the Barren's since summer doesn't last forever. I called them and asked them to bring actual bathing suits this time, still feeling somewhat uncomfortable last time.

They all said they would go, some of them said they'd bring certain things. Beverly brought a boombox with cds. Bill said he'd bring some drinks, sodas and water mainly. I told them I'd bring extra beach towels so if they're needed then we have them. Richie and Y/N said they'd bring separate surprises. Ben said he wasn't thinking of bringing anything. Mike said he didn't have anything to really bring.

We all decided to meet in an hour. I didn't get to the barrens first. I ended up running into Richie first. Which was a surprise.

"Hey Eddie Spaghetti," he said while biking next to me.

"Don't call me that. What are you doing on this route, you're further from the Barrens now than you would've been," I said rolling my eyes.

"I wanted to see you and talk before we got there. Is that so bad?"

"Depends. What did you want to talk about?"

He stopped biking and stood there, I stopped then turned around, "why'd you stop?"

"I said I wanted to talk."

"What's going on. You're never this serious."

"I like you," Richie said looking at me with a straight face.

"W-What?"

"I said I like you. Don't act so surprised," he said crossing his arms.

"I am surprised. Out of all people, I didn't expect you to like me," I said looking at him.

He set his bike down then walked over towards me. I wasn't sure what was going to happen next since I didn't expect this entire conversation. He stood in front of me and didn't say anything for a second.

"I like you," he said then looked down. He seemed almost ashamed. I just watched him with mixed feelings. I like him too, I know the group won't judge. I'm just worried about everything else though. I shook my head to clear my thoughts then grabbed his hand.

"I-I like you too, trashmouth," I smiled.

"You do?"

I nodded and then kissed him softly. After the kiss I looked into his beautiful brown eyes, "go get your bike, we don't want the group to worry."

He rushed back to his bike and grabbed it. We then biked all the way to the quarry and sat our bikes down. I noticed Mike's first.

Y/N's POV
After the call with Eddie, I was quickly grabbing everything I needed for the quarry and put it in a small bag. I put on my swimsuit, my newer one, then put nice clothes on top. I decided on light blue jean shorts and a nice black off the shoulder shirt.

"I can't wait to see them again," I whispered to myself, "I'll be able to give them these friendship bracelets."

I then went outside to my bike and then biked to the quarry, running into Bill on the way there. He was going somewhat slowly because he had a small cooler with him.

"Hey Bill," I said going next to him, "what's with the cooler?"

"O-Oh, I-I said I w-w-would bring some drinks for the group. That's what t-t-this is for. Kind of h-hard to bike with it t-t-though. Didn't expect it," he said with a laugh.

"Oh, well then I'll keep you company on the way to the quarry and when we get there I can help you carry it to the group," I smiled.

"T-Thanks Y/N."
