I woke up as usual, Casey came in and helped me with the bath and dressing up.
A blue gown with diamond chains on the neckline, long bell sleeves with the white ribbon details on the elbow and the simple border of the dress which contrasts the diamond around the neckline. I was happy to look at the mirror and smiled.
A necklace with the small 'white pearls' that was worth a mansion. I was staring at it, how he spent all that money on my wardrobe and jewellery.
"Madam should I serve you breakfast?"
Casey asked with a smile. I was going to say 'yes' but the butler came with Duke's message.
"Duke has invited you for breakfast."
Butler said and he escorted me to the dining room.
IN THE DINING ROOM
I greeted the Duke and he sure looks good with the black suit and the blue brooch that matches his eyes. I quickly sat down to eat.
The 'food' all of it looks so delicious! I started eating, the flavour of the dish is so good it's texture it's aroma everything is good.
He must have the best chefs, 'I mumbled'.
"Madam, I apologise I couldn't visit your room last night as I had something urgent to attend."
I thought what could be so urgent that you would leave your bride alone on her first night.
I said, "that's fine, I could understand."
He said instead "I will visit you soon."
I said "sure."
We finished our breakfast and he took his leave saying he has work to do.
I wondered, what should I do?
The huge mansion and never ending walk!
I wouldn't want to go around and get lost in here!
I will stay in my room, I have a lot on my mind. How is my life going to change!
But I couldn't deny that I believe all of this is for the better. I should relax for a few days and then think about how I am going to survive.....
An uncalled memory just seeped in my thoughts, when I was young I lost my way in the garden. I cried loudly but no one was around, then a butterfly flew past me and I was startled, I followed it and before I realised I was in front of the mansion.
What a weird thing to remember.
What was the color of the butterfly again?
Was it blue or green?
I don't remember that....
That butterfly...... something....
