Alcina had come to Nevermore before bringing her daughters to survey the grounds. She wanted to first make sure this school was good enough before allowing them to attend. We have a number of extracurricular activities. Said the headmistress who stride ahead of her. Alcina wasnt expecting her to be that tall. Of course she still didnt compare to Alcinas height. But for a human, it was shocking.
What do your daughters enjoy? Ms Weems asked her. When Alcina didnt reply she continued. We offer art classes, fencing, physical activities, and archery. Im sure well have something that theyd each enjoy.
I do hope so. What will their housing arrangements be? Alcina asked. And I have a number of other questions regarding their care.
Of course. Given your generous donation theyll each be able to have a room of their own. Unless they choose to have a roommate.
Alcina nodded in understanding. Will I be able to visit? Or take them home on the weekends? Our humble home is only on the other side of the town and Id hate not to see them often.
Youre more than welcome to visit them. Though it would be much appreciated if you refrain from doing so their first week, so they can settle in. Afterwards youre more than welcome to take them back for the weekend. Ms Weems spoke as she led the older woman back to her office to speak further. May I ask what makes them outcasts?
Theyre flies. Alcina said bluntly. Their bodies are made up of flies. She explained further when she was the womans confusion. They can turn into swarms of flies to make for faster movement.
That is certainly odd. Though theyll fit right in here.
I wasnt finished. Alcina scolded, she hated being interrupted. Theyre also vampires. And they need to drink at least a cup of blood daily. Will this be handled appropriately?
Yes. We hold blood drives and get donations for our vampire students. I can assure you their diet will be handled properly. Ms Weems flashed Alcina a smile that she didnt return.
There is one more matter that concerns me. Ms Weems gave her a look, prompting her to continue. The cold can be fatal to them. And I do not intend to send my daughters here if they cant be kept safe from the weather. She sent the younger woman a small glare.
Of course. All of our classes take place indoors, except for a few extracurriculars. Though we never hold class outdoors if its cold outside. So this shouldnt be a problem whatsoever.
Good. Its been a pleasure to meet you, Ms Weems. Ill email you later explaining one or two more things and when I plan to send them your way.
Of course. Its been lovely meeting you as well, and Dimitrescu. She sent her a smile and shook the taller womans hand.
