Chapter 2

​"Ahh!" A women's shriek startled Cecil waking him and he immediately notice that he was laying on grass. Looking around, he saw that he doesn't know where he is.
​"Ahh!" another shriek made Cecil look towards the distance to see a village burning and immediately started running towards the village. Upon entering the gate village he saw creatures flying, creatures that have only been seen in books of fictions and people running out of fear and safety. A man ran pass Cecil and Cecil grabbed onto his arm saying, "What are those things?"
​"Dragons!" panic the man as he pulled back his hand and started running away from the village.
​"Drag.....Dragons?" said Cecil confused until a women's scream startle him. Running towards the scream, He found a dragon had a woman and three little kids. Cecil then looks around hoping to find something to distract the dragon from its prey and saw a brick that was lying in the ground. Not knowing what else to do Cecil picks up the stone to throw it at the dragon and hitting its head but it did not have any effect at all so Cecil looks around for a different object to get the dragon's attention. His eyes landed on a piece of wood that had been burn by the fire leaving a pointed end. Picking it up, Cecil rushes at the dragon before stabbing it at the base of its stomach. The dragon let out a roar of pain and turn around to face Cecil.
​"Run! Now!" yells Cecil to the woman and immediately she grabbed hold of the children's hand, begin running towards the exit.
​"Well at least they're safe." Said Cecil as he looked down at the ground, "If this is how I'm supposed to meet my end then I guess at least I did one thing right in the life time." The dragon let out another roar and back up before lifting its head back to let out a blast of fire.
​"Argghhhhh!" yells Cecil as the fire engulfs him.
​"I guess this is the end." Thought Cecil closing his eyes hoping that this would end already. A bright white light begins shining brightly and when Cecil opens his eyes, he saw a very beautiful girl's face staring into his eyes with determination.
​"Oh, you're awake. Thank the Gods." Said the girl as Cecil try to get up.
​"No, stay down." Say the girl before she got up and left. Cecil looks to his left and right before falling unconscious again.
​"I thought, you said that he was awake."
​"He was but I guess...."
​"It's ok let him rest. I'm sure he is exhausted after what he went through." Cecil open his eyes just enough to see three people talking before falling back into his sleep. Opening his eye again, Cecil scans the room before trying to get up. The room he was in was big; there is a dresser in the corner, a desk near the left side of the wall and a window with a balcony. Slowly, Cecil made his way to the window and opening it he step outside to feel the morning breeze.
​"What happen to me? I thought that dragon...." Thought Cecil before his eyes open wide, "Dragon. Where in the world am I?" The sound of breaking glass made Cecil look back and saw a woman in a maid's outfit standing at the door.
​"Captain!" she yelled and running footsteps could be heard.
​"What happen?" demanded the captain, he was wearing dark red armor with an insignia of a dragon on the left plate of his chest, and the maid just pointed her finger at Leon. The captain looked his way and before he knew it Cecil was staring into the black eyes of the captain.
​"Looks like you're awake. How are you feeling?"
​"I..." Started Cecil but just kept quiet.
​"Where am I? How long was I out and......" He asked the captain.
​"You are in the care of the Kingdom of Terra. You have been sleeping for three days." Said the captain, "Now I have some questions for you; who are you? What did you do to that dragon? How...."
​"Now, Cedric that is enough," commanded another voice and Cedric got quiet. An elder man wearing golden robes and a gold crown sitting on top of his head was standing at the front of the door.
​"My lord." Said Cedric bowing his head.
​"You may go." Said the king and Cedric bows again before leaving, "Now why don't you come back to the bed that we have made for you." Said the king now addressing Cecil and he hesitated before going back to the bed. The king approach Cecil while saying, "Now, tell me your name?"
​"I'm Cecil, Cecil Davis ." answers Cecil and the king smiled.
​"I am David Faire, and I am the King of Terra." Said David and Cecil look down from his gaze unto the bed.
​"My daughter." Said David addressing the maid and she nodded her head and left the room.
​"Now, I can tell that you are not of this world, am I right in saying this?" ask David and Cecil nodded his head.
​"I have more questions for you but..."
​"You called for me father?" ask another voice and Cecil look up to see a beautiful girl in a pink dress.
​"Ah, come here Ellie." Ellie the walks into the room to stand by her father.
​"This is Ellie," said David, "My daughter and she is the one who had took care of your wounds." Cecil looked into Ellie's blue eyes and immediately blushed.
​"Thank you for saving me."
​"No need, It was the right thing to do." Said Ellie causing Cecil to blush even more and look down.
​"Now I want you to rest for now and when you think you are strong enough I would like you to join us for dinner." Said David and he left.
​"I'm Cecil, Cecil Davis." Said Leon after a couple of seconds of silence. Elli smile and nodded her head.
​"Ummm....Can I ask you something?" said Cecil.
​"Oh, of course."
​"What happen to me?"
​"When you were rescue from the village, I was asked to come and heal you because the other healer's magic wasn't powerful enough to stabilize your life."
​"Wait, rescue me?" Cecil ask confusingly
​"Yes, you...."
​"But that dragon's fire should have killed me?"
​"Well, I think it's best if you should see it for yourself."
​"Se...See for myself?"
​"Yes, it's actually quite spectacular."
​"C....can you show me?"
​"When you are strong enough and until then lie in bed. Well, I have other things to do so I will be leaving now." Said Ellie and she left. Cecil looked at the door for quite some time before lying down on the bed again.
​"Hmm, what happen?" ask Cecil to himself before falling back to sleep.​
​The sun was just setting by the time Cecil woke up again and feeling stronger he stood up and stretch.
​"Mr. Davis?" a voice made Leon looked up and saw that it was the maid.
​"Yes."
​"If you feel that you are up to having dinner then I had some clothes for you to change into, also there is a shower in the other room." Said the maid pointing to some clothes at the end of the bed and then to a door by the right side of the room. Nodding Cecil took the clothes as the maid bows her head and step of out of the room closing the door. After the shower, Cecil put on the clothes that were set for him. The shirt was made from silk and the pants were leather.
​"The pants feel uncomfortable but I guess I will have to put up with it." Thought Cecil as he was looking at himself in the mirror.
​"Mr. Davis," a knock was heard at the door, "If you are done, I was told to escort you to the dining room." Cecil then opens the bathroom door and followed the maid out of the room and into the grand hallway. Following the maid, Cecil looks on in awe at the decorations of the castle. Stopping in front of a large white door, the maid knock and enter the room with Cecil following.
​"Ah, Mr. Davis, come here. Sit." Said David pointing to the nearest empty seat next to him and Cecil did as he was told.
​"This here is my wife Elizabeth." Said David introducing the queen and Cecil bow his head to her in respect.
​"Now let us eat," said David and the servants immediately brought up dinner.
​"The King's being to nice. I wonder what is he after?" thought Cecil to himself as everyone was eating quietly. Once the food was consumed and everyone was sitting comfortably as the servants begin cleaning. The room was quiet and peaceful but as soon as the last servant left and the dining room door was close, the atmosphere in the dining room changed. There was a feeling of urgency and business.
​"Now, Mr. Davis, I'm sure you understand you may have some answering to do." Said David in a business like voice as Cecil looked at the king in surprise. "First and foremost is: Where are you from? Because judging from your earlier attire you are not from these parts. Also, as you already heard from Cedric, What did you do to that dragon?" Cecil stayed quiet as the king press his questions.
​"The only thing that we know is your name and that maybe you have a strong power inside of you. What you did to that dragon has never been seen before. What...."​
​"What did I do to the dragon?" Blurted out Cecil
​"What did you do? You don't remember?"
​"No, I thought I was going to burned to death." David then laughs aloud and said, "You were sure that you were burnt to death. Hahah." Cecil looks down at the table as the David's laughter subsided.
​"I guess you can see the dragon in the morning."
​"Wait, what? What do you mean in the morning? You brought it here?"
​"We had it brought here from Gaia, the village where its fiery brethrens had burned down."
