Chapter 3

​Cecil woke up the next morning to quickly dress before heading down to the front gates where Cedric, the captain of the David's army, stood waiting patiently.
​"Finally here huh." Said Cedric and Cecil just nodded his head, "Follow me." Cedric then begins walking to the left of the castle with Cecil following quietly lost in his own thoughts.
​"You know, you have never told us where you are from?" questions Cedric and Cecil just stayed quiet.
​"Hey, I'm talking to you." bursts Cedric and Cecil looked at him to see that Cedric had stopped walking to look at him.
​"I'm from New York."
​"N....Newyork? Never Heard of it. Where in Terra is it located?"
​"Actually, I never heard of Terra before but it's on earth."
​"Earth, oh I heard of that. It's supposed to be from a different dimension. So you came here from a different dimension huh." Cecil then got quiet and was glad that Cedric didn't ask more question.
​"A different world like earth? I read of different worlds living side by side earth but never actually believed it." Thought Cecil and he bumped into Cedric.
​"Watch where you are going."
​"Sorry." Said Cecil as he looks up to see a big brown oak door.
​"Uhh, where are we?"
​"This here is where the dragon knights, in case you don't know, the Dragon Knights King David's personal elite Knights, are located but this is not where we'll be going. That's where we're going, the Dragon's Keep. I'm sure you know what a dragon's keep is right?" Said Cedric as he pointed to a different building made entirely of bricks and instead of doors, there's an open archway. Cecil nodded his head even though he knew not what a dragon's keep is. Cedric continues walking towards the dragon's keep with Cecil following obediently and as they got closer to the entrance a fire shot out of the entrance and into the sky.
​"Whoa." Said Cecil surprise causing Cedric to laugh.
​"I thought you said you knew what a dragon's keep is? Hahah." Shaking his head Cedric continues his explanation, "A dragon's keep is where we, the dragon knights of Terra keeps and take care of our dragons. Yes, we keep real dragons here or else we can't be dragon knights without dragons ahaha. The story of how we became known as the dragon knights will be later but until then this is what I was ask to show you." Cedric had stop in front of a close brown door. Cedric knocks on the door and opens it to reveal a room enough to fill up to one thousand long table.
​"Captain." Said another dragon knight as Cedric enters and saluted.
​"How is he?" ask Cedric and the dragon knight shook his head, "That bad huh."
​"Is he..."ask the dragon knight pointing to Cecil and Cedric nodded his head. Cedric continues to walk and as Cecil follows he saw five other dragon knights running about yelling orders to each other.
​"Captain, the dragon's about to reach his limit." Said a dragon knight, who was yelling order and behind him is a full grown dragon with his head curled back and his eyes closed, but his color was off. You can see that the usual blood red color was fading and a darkish white color had begun to form from his wings to the base of his neck.
​"That, Cecil, is the dragon that you supposedly got burned to death by." Said Cedric pointing to the dragon and Cecil looked on in surprise. The dragon took a sniff and opened its eyes to look at Leon.
​"Oh, it's you." Said a voice and Cecil look around surprised.
​"Who said that?" ask Cecil aloud and Cedric looked at him confuse.
​"What do you mean? Who said what?"
​"Didn't you....." but before Cecil could finish his sentence his eyes had made contact with the dragon's and suddenly Cecil felt as if he is being pulled into the sky and was holding his breath. Letting out a breath Cecil look around and saw that he is in a bright white room that seem to go on forever and looking straight at him is the dragon fully powerful and standing on all four of his legs.
​"I never would have thought that you would return." Said the dragon and Cecil look at him confusingly.
​"What do you mean? This is the first time I been here. This is the first...."
​"Of course you wouldn't remember, but we dragons lived on for as long as this world had been existed and we would remember you, no matter what you now look like. You, who have the power to absorbed our life essence and use it as your own. You, who are nothing but a mortal from a different dimension, curse you. We have hated you for so long and when you had finally move and passed from this world we were free to do what we wanted and live for what we were made for. We were free from you. It has been a hundred years since you had passed and we live to our hearts content for that hundred years but now you return. Why? Why did you return?"
​"What do you mean? Who was I? I never came here before?"
​"Your friends who had learn your power to use us as pets will know of your story you can go and ask him. We are done here." Said the dragon and Cecil felt a burning sensation from his back, up to his neck and let out a piercing scream. His back was on fire and he couldn't do anything to stop it.
​"Hey! Hey! Are you ok?" voices from afar could be heard and as Cecil opens his eyes he noticed that he was lying on the ground again. Putting a hand to his forehead, he asks, "What happen to me?"
​"You fell onto the ground and screaming and rolling around." Said Cedric and Cecil look at the dragon but it was now fully white and lay on the ground unmoving.
​"He's dead." Said Cedric following Cecil's gaze.
​"Ho....Wha...." but Cedric fell into a deep sleep again.
