I tap around the bed searching for my phone blasting my ears off. Who could be calling this morning? Frustratingly I get up to see it across the end. I definitely kicked it that way. Grabbing it frantically the caller ID reveals itself to be Hanah. I shake my eyes. Why is she calling so early?
"Hello?", I answered.
"What the hell took you so long?!". God, she is furious.
"Uhhhh....I'm.....sorry?". I'm still sleepy.
"Wake up Theo. I've been calling since 9. We have to be at the shopping square at 11."
My sleep breaks.
"Oh shit. I....I totally forgot."
"Seriously?!"
"I am sorry. I forgot that I have to shop with Nolan. I guess I tried not to care. The day is already off to a bad start."
"Well you have me remember? I will make sure the spree is somewhat tolerable."
I grin, "With your company it shall be fantastic."
I hope that didn't sound cheesy nor romantic or flirty.
I can hear her chuckle, "Anyways, can you text me the address? You forgot that too."
"Oh right. Sorry! Will do it now."
"Okay. And wake up! You sound like a dying breath."
Once again she hung up before I could comment on her remark. She knew that once we start, there is no stopping us making fun of each other. The chuckle of the thought fades when I look at the time. Quickly I draw out of the bed taking the first thing available in my wardrobe. Nolan is never gonna let it go if I'm late for a second even. That guy is tad punctual for good. Luckily Hanah is going to be there with me. Her dislike for Nolan alongside her company indeed is going to make my day fantastic.
I pace my steps at the mall entrance back and forth. Where is she? Though she has 5 mins left till our designated time, I'm worried if she got lost.
{Theo}
Where are you?
{Theo}
You ok?
{Theo}
You didn't get lost did you?
{Theo}
Answer me Hanah.
Nolan comes out of the mall holding a plastic teacup, "Oh, you're on time? I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up."
I reply,"Why pick up a fight when it isn't needed? I am already worried. Your face levels it up further. "
"And you say you don't wanna pick up a fight. Still you insult me."
"Leave it Nolan."
He rolls his eyes, "The only reason I am backing down is because I wanna get this over with."
He gestures to me to go inside.
"Wait.", I say, "I'm waiting for someone. She is going to join us."
Nolan gives me a surprised sneering look, frowning his brows up, "Excuse me?!".
"Let's wait.", I ignored his remark.
"Who the hell do you think you are to invite someone that too without my consultance?!"
"I think by law I am a citizen who has complete freedom to do anything he wants and does not need anybody's permission. That too of a classmate."
"This is our school's matter, Theo."
