Chapter 10: POTENTIAL

After Lena had went through her SHEIN and fashion nova carts she was just about to get into the Amazon wishlist when she heard a knock at Anthony's door. She wasn't expecting anyone so she righted her robe before letting the m know it was okay to enter.

A small older woman with greying hair and warm eyes entered with a tray of breakfast foods puttering over to her side of the bed. "Good morning miss, Mr. Moretti informed us you would be resting for the rest of the morning so i thought i would bring your goodies to you while you enjoy your time." She handed her way to the bed side table and put everything down giving Lena a warm welcoming smile that made it's way to her eyes. "I hope you find everything to your liking, my name is Mrs.Talbot and my husband and i are the master chefs for the Moretti family"

That's when the light went off in Lena's head, Anthony had mentioned them. She was pleasantly surprised, the woman reminded her a lot of the nice old ladies that came in to get their weekly polish change and pedicures and that brought a lot of comfort to her. "Yes, oh my goodness so nice to meet you!" She got up to give the woman a hug.

The woman was pleasantly surprised as her body froze at the young woman's actions, she wasn't use to the people Anthony brought around being so humble and sweet but she found this girl to be a delight.

She gave Lena a tight hug back after a moment of hesitation and as she moved back onto the bed she took note of her genuine smile. "If there is anything else i can bring you dear please do not hesitate to ask" she uncovered the tray lids and took the lids off the mini jars of jams "My husband and i will be here until 5:00 this afternoon. Do you have any requests for lunch?"

Lena's eyes got as wide a saucers as she contemplated what she wanted for her lunch "Maybe some homemade macaroni and cheese?" her fingers gently tapped her chin as she thought "and some buffalo wings with fries sounds good today, don't you think?" she looked on with hopeful eyes at the woman. She hoped she wasn't asking for too much.

"Well that sounds fun we'll get right on that deary, anything else?" She smiled amused at Lena's request. Mrs.Talbot was expecting something more refined if she was being honest with herself, she had been working with these families with money for so long they tended to get out of touch with reality and what made you feel good. "Maybe some root beer floats to go along with that hm?"

Lena groaned in excitement "Now you know what Mrs.Talbot ?!! That's sounds so good... yes ma'am!" She chuckled at the girls enthusiasm. "I haven't had a root beer float in almost two months! I ate so many of them a couple months back  i made myself sick of them but it's time to start up my habit again" she gave the woman a wink. "Right then miss ,enjoy your brunch my dear and when Mr.Moretti gets back we will serve your lunch"

"Yes ma'am" Lena replied smiling from to ear to ear "thank you! It was nice meeting you Mrs.Talbot I'll be out soon to meet your husband once I'm up and dressed for the day."

Loss for words at Lena's polite demeanor the woman turned on her heels and left the room. Lena thought that was strange but went back to her shopping.

Once she wracked up a healthy bill on Amazon she put in Anthony's card info and hit send. She couldn't believe the amount she spent at the first two stores but after a text from Anthony simply saying "More" she decided the limit didn't exist. She laughed to herself as she thought make his pockets hurt i guess.

After her shopping spree in bed she ate her breakfast and pulled an outfit out of her bag and made her way to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

She chose a army green tube top dress that hugged her curves like a glove. She figured it would be the most comfortable just hanging around the house but without having to put too much effort into thinking about an entire outfit. That was the magic of dresses.
