Articles of clothes flew and landed all over Lena's room. Shirts and pants being thrown about as she frantically searched for the perfect outfit for Sunday dinner today with Anthony's family. Her nerves were getting worse as she overthought every choice.

"Nah that's too much" she grumbled to herself "and this one isn't enough ughhhh! I'm about to cry! Why is this so hard right now" she let out a frustrated sigh.

The drawers were next to be rummaged through and as she opened the first one her eyes wandered to the tan romper she had never worn before. It had a collar and a built in belt that winched her waist nicely but working at the salon didn't leave room for her to ever try these outfits so they sat and collected dust in her draws.

"Better make sure I still like it" she stated stripping her robe off to try it on her body once more. Once she got it situated she ran to the mirror to take in her appearance, it fit lovely and accentuated her curves nicely.

Not being too short yet leaving her legs on display she decided this would be the one, she pull her strappy brown heels from her shoe rack under the bed and grabbed a small Louie bag Anthony had got her recently but she refused to leave in his closet. This bag deserved to see the world.

Thanking God she had just got her hair braided because the box braids were getting fuzzy and she didn't play that, she knew the combination would be the perfect set to meet the rest of Anthony's family in.

This time she opted for a style were the cornrows started on her head going back in a simple cross cross pattern and went down her back, the back half was box braided making them all come together in a pushed back type of style.

Lena always loved a good set of cornrows it brought out her eyes and the features in her face and something about it was just so nostalgic, reminding her of the days when your parents let you get a new style with the braids that you knew was going to make you look a touch older.

She still remembered the last day she had huge braids with the knockers and begged her mom to let her get braids to the back since she was going into fourth grade and it wouldn't be too "grown" according to her mother.

Just finding something to where had allowed the smallest amount of her nerves to chill but she had gotten up at the ass crack of dawn and to start getting ready.

Much to Anthony's dismay she had opted for staying at her place the night before so he wouldn't keep her up all night leaving her to look a tired mess.

She knew that man would hunch on her all night if she let him so she had to separate herself for a couple days to handle up and get her hair done and spend some time with Sadie Mae anyway.

Beginning on her neutral makeup to compliment her outfit she finished pretty quickly with her lashes being done, she felt like she didn't need much on her face.
