I stand naked in the en-suite bathroom rubbing body oil on my belly. My little one flutters under my fingers making me smile. I look in the mirror appreciating the cantaloupe-sized bump as the door creaks open.
Brad walks in; his eyes hungrily roving over me. "I knew I'd find you in here," he smiles at me.
"The bath is so soothing in this heat," I explain.
"I know, baby. Are you you keeping the water lukewarm?"
I roll my eyes at him. "Yes, sir."
He chuckles moving behind me and holds me in his arms. His hand rubbing up and down my belly. "I can't help it; I worry about my girls."
"I know." I look at him through the mirror. He's so handsome, like Adonis he only gets more beautiful with time.
Brad and I attempted to have a long-distance relationship for about five months, but we quickly realized it wasn't for us. We missed each other too much.
After Cheryl posted her wedding photos on her social media accounts, Brad was bombarded with requests to host more events. He hired me as his event manager, and I left the event planning business in LA to Johnny. Johnny cried for about two weeks when I told him I was moving to Montana. He didn't calm down until Jon promised him frequent visits to the ranch. They now have their own permanent room at the main house. He still isn't fond of Shep and continues to refer to him as the 'hound from hell.' But, thankfully, we haven't had another horse dung incident.
Brad proposed to me a month after my move to Montana. 'I don't want to wait any longer to make you mine,' he whispered in my ear as we cuddled in bed. Two months later we were married, and a month after that I was staring at a positive pregnancy test. When I shared the news with Brad, he gave me one of his blindingly bright smiles.
I watch as Brad leans down and kisses my neck. "I love you so much my sweet girl," he whispers.
"I love you too." I lift my hand up and caress his cheek. "Thank you for my happily ever after."
