13. Let's Go Home

I stretched as I walked home from the first day of my Junior year of high school.

Y/n: Maybe I should go home and watch some TV...nothing else better to do anyways..

As I continued to walk, I heard something not far away..

???: So then, I was like, yeah girl!

???: Are you serious? So sketchy!

???: Yeah, that totally sounds weird!

Those voices...

I peaked around a tree and sure enough, there at a bench, sat Nagatoro and her friends.

Y/n: Jeez..

I hid behind a tree, realizing how weird I was for actually spying on them.

Y/n: The more I pay attention and think about it..

Nagatoro laughed and messed around with her friends.

Y/n: ...We really do live in different worlds...

I got lost in thought..until I heard 2 unfamiliar voices...male voices...

Boy 1: Yooo!

Boy 2: Sup!

Boy 2: I'm beat!

Gamo: Uwah! He's using the "I'm tired" play.

Gamo said playfully.

Boy 1: No! For real! It was super tiring today!

Nagatoro: Didn't you guys skip the club in the first place?

I know Nagatoro is nothing more then a pain in the ass to me...but for some reason...this scene really pisses me off...

Gamo: The President was so mad!

They kept talking...how do they keep a conversation so smoothly? It's almost like they follow a rhythm...just going on their own flow almost..

Boy 1: So, like, Hayase should totally hang out with us!

What did he say just now?

Nagatoro: I thought I've said it before...I'm not going..

Boy 2: Sakura, you'll totally go, right?

Boy 1: And you? Gamo, Yoshi?

Gamo and Yoshi: We're down!

Sakura: Yeah! You should come!

The boys continued to talk to Nagatoro and her friends...though..out of everyone..I could tell Nagatoro was extremely uncomfortable around them..they kept trying to get close to her and she would try so hard to reject their advances...that's fucking it.

Y/n: I've had enough.

Nagatoro: I mean...I just-

Boy 2: Huh? Who's that?

All the talking went silent as everyone turned their attention to me, who just walked out from behind a tree..I held my head low as I walked over to the table.

They all stared at me, Nagatoro looked a bit shocked.

Boy 1: Did you need something?

Y/n: I...

Boy 2: Cmon! Spit it out!

They laughed and mocked me..I clenched my fists..

Y/n: Let's...go home...Nagatoro...

I muttered those words, the boys began to laugh at me.

Boy 1: C'mon! Speak up! Or are you to scare-

Nagatoro: Let's go home, Senpai!

Nagatoro stood up from her seat, the 2 boys watched in complete shock as Nagatoro walked beside me, leaving them completely behind.

Gamo: Welp, let's go too, Yoshi.

Yoshi: Yeah!

Sakura: Wait for me!

All 4 girls stood up, leaving the boys behind...completely stunned on how an awkward/antisocial loner, just took all 4 of the popular girls away from the table.

The 5 of us walked on the sidewalk together..still confused about earlier, I begin to ask Nagatoro why she left.

Y/n: Are you sure about leaving them behind?

Nagatoro: Yeah..they were annoying anyway.

Yoshi: Yeah! Annoying!

The blonde-haired girl began to speak..the same one who had seen my manga that day.

Sakura: Ah~ it's the mangaka Senpai-kun!~

Nagatoro: Yep! The one that draws all the lewd manga!

Y/n: WHAT!?!? I AM NOT LEWD!!!

I tried to defend myself.

Y/n: I-I just get bored and catch myself drawing, that's all...
