This went on for about two months until trouble actually happened. But besides that, high school wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. Luckily she had Kane there because she knew it would be worse if she didn't.

The cheerleaders were still after her, trying to. Constantly trying to embarrass her and make fun of her but it would always back fire because Zoe wasn't stupid. Though the girls were getting on her nerves and she just wanted to deck them and get it over with. She knew that if she did she'd be doing the entire school a huge favor. But she couldn't, it was a part of being a demigod, they aren't allowed to bring harm to any mortal unless it's under certain circumstances.

She was in her locker that was decorated with a picture of some of her friends, like a girl named Luna and Coral that were twins, a boy named Neto, Kane, and a her friend Ellie. Only one of them were claimed by the gods.

She liked to look at the picture everyday since she was staying in apartment that Chiron from camp is paying for so she can stay close to her school. Kane also lived there with her, and since he was 18 he was written down as her guardian. Which she thought was weird but she didn't argue. Especially since him being at the school was the only reason why she was making an effort to stay.

Zoe was very surprised that she has lasted as long as she has at the school. She thought she was going to get expelled the first day because of those cheerleaders. But she put that thought behind her and began to go to her first class.

She went through her day of school as she normally would. All her classes in order but she got bored and ditched the last one and left the school without telling anyone. Not even Kane. She was stopped outside the school by Sasha and only two of her friends. All three of them were smiling weirdly which worried Zoe. Because she could sense something was off, and by the way Kane acted when they got to school during the morning he could sense it too.

"I have somewhere to be, so what do you want?" Zoe asked with a sigh.

"We just wanna talk," Sasha said. Her voice sounded a little different, deeper and a little rougher.

"You alright there Sash?" Zoe asked "You sound like you have a sore throat, maybe you swallowed a hair ball."

"Stupid girl, you should know what's happening" Sasha said and she began to turn into a monster she's never seen before. It had the body of a woman, but scalled up. But the legs, there was none. It was just a snake tale. Whenever she talked her s's were long, like a snake. Then, just Zoe's luck, the other two turned into the same thing

You've gotta be kidding me?, She thought, I just wanted to go home and relax.

Zoe ran to the side when what was Sasha pulled out a bow and began to shoot at her with arrows.

"The time I don't have my weapons is the time I'm attack." She muttered as she avoided another arrow.

She ran to a trash can and used the lid of it like a shield but her eyes went wide when the arrow pierced through the thick metal with no issue. It almost hit her right in the eyes.

"Look if this is about the skirt from the very first day, I'm sorry, I'll pay for it" she yelled out trying to throw off the snake lady to buy herself some time.

Which worked, because she ran into the school when them following her. She needed to find Kane because she knew that he'd have some sort of weapon on him. It's just how he was.

Zoe had an arrow stuck in her upper back and she had blood on her. By the time she got to the classroom he was in, she had been running for 10 minutes and was out of breath. She knocked on the door urgently and opened the door. Once it was opened she looked at the teacher.

"Do you mind if I borrow Kane? I need to talk to him about a Kindly One." She said with a heavy breath, but she wasn't really asking, she was more of telling.

The teacher didn't even get a chance to answer because Kane grabbed his backpack and ran out of the classroom as the teacher just stared at them in disbelief, especially since there were arrows flying in their direction.

Kane grabbed her by her arm and dragged her into an empty classroom. He slammed the door shut and put his back up against it as he opened his bag and dug through it.

"Please tell me those aren't your cheerleader friends?" He asked her.

He continued to dig through the bag and he pulled out a pair of matching rings. She knew the rings, they were hers, of course.

"Yes they are." She said to him and took the rings from him. "You're a genius for brining these."

She put the rings on and she tapped them together and they turned into two daggers. She held them in her hands, they felt comfortable to her and they were balanced, which made it easy to fight with them.

"I know. Also why does it seem like every friend you make outside of camp wants to kill you?" He asked.

"I'm just a likable person, you know I never see any of your friends outside of camp try to kill you, maybe I'm just better." she said to him and grinned at him.

"Yeah, whatever." He said and he grabbed the doorknob after he grabbed a sword and his shield. "Ready?"

She nodded as he swung the door open. But they were no where to be found. They couldn't see either of the three snake lady's and it confused them. And it ticked Zoe off majorly because she got shot by one of them, she wanted them dead.
