My Ugly [SeongJoong]

Recap

During the Prologue it starts with Seonghwa in high school, dealing with his biggest rival, Kim Hongjoong. He places number one in the school, taking Seonghwa's place. After the stress he feels knowing he lost his place as number one, he lets Yunho drag him to a party so he can let out some steam. 

There he meets Hongjoong, and that night changes their interactions forever. Because there, Seonghwa realizes that the annoying prick he hates, is actually not as bad as he thought prior. 

Their relationship grew into something else and without warning, they fell in love. Being young and dumb, they made so many mistakes. 

Seonghwa confessed his love to Hongjoong, but Hongjoong didn't reply. Still struggling with his parents divorce and what it meant to fall in love, he wanted to wait until he saw him in person. What he didn't know was that Seonghwa's father was moving and taking Seonghwa with him. 

Seonghwa left without telling Hongjoong, and Hongjoong never got to confess his love back to him. 

Nine years has passed and now Hongjoong is in the works to become the new CEO of his dad's company, a position he never wanted. He's also in a fake relationship with one of his best friends, deciding that pretending to be straight is better than the wrath he'd face from his dad. 

Yunho invites him to an anniversary part for his and Mingi's 8 year lasting relationship. There he sees a face he hadn't seen in nine years. 

Park Seonghwa, looking even more beautiful than he remembered. After a misunderstanding, they can't help but make a huge scene. Their lasting resentment and newfound hate being too much to handle. 

After falling into another depression, Hongjoong isolates himself. The only option to get him out of the state he's fallen into so many times before, is for Seonghwa to come in and make a mess out of everything again. 

Creating some tension between them, they slowly become enraptured again. After Seonghwa experiences an incredibly traumatic SA, their always complicated relationship becomes even more complicated. 

Struggling with his own toxicity, and his traumatic experiences, Seonghwa spirals. The only way he knows how to cope with what he went through is to stay around Hongjoong, the one person he couldn't tell if he still hated or not. 

Seonghwa's new bought apartment building goes up in flames while Hongjoong and Yunho are hashing things out. Being forced outside, Seonghwa has no ability to bring his newly adopted cat with him. Hongjoong goes back inside the building and risks his life to save the cat. 

Hongjoong takes Seonghwa to his home to let him get some rest, there everything came to a head and the truth comes out. 

The thing is, Hongjoong now needs to go on a business trip and he had no idea when he would be coming back. 

It made Seonghwa have to trust him more than he ever had to before and get over his own fear of abandonment.
