A few days later...
A gentle breeze filtered into the hotel bedroom through the open veranda doors, and even the ever-frosty Hyoka Kagari shivered a little. She had been laying out on top of the blankets, wearing little more than a smile after the events of the previous night. Still in human form thanks to her Yokai Crystal, she could actually feel the chill from the breeze which woke her up. Groggily, she glanced over at her boyf- "no, husband now" she corrected herself with a giggle. He was also about as clothed as her, and laying face down on the bed in what had to be an uncomfortable position. Briefly, Hyoka mentally thanked Sarah for her wellspring of human-spirit relationship advice, before going over to her suitcase and pulling out her favorite blue dress. Today the two of them were going to start their five day trip to Macchu Piccu, to explore the ancient city they had both always fawned over. The pair had actually met in their grade school library, reading a book about the Nazca lines. The pair had already visited them now, and gotten to see them from a hot air balloon to boot. Now they wanted nothing more than to visit the city that had cemented their relationship so many years ago. It was exciting! But first... breakfast.
"C'mon Junji," whispered Hyoka into his unconscious ear, "Wakey wakey..."
Nothing, not even a peep.Fine, if he wanted to play it that way...
The first thing Junji felt upon regaining consciousness was an icy hand of death on his back, and an otherworldly voice whispering in his ear.
"Junnn...~ jiiiiiiiii...~"
Needless to say he screamed bloody murder, which caused Hyoka, in her Yuki Onna form, to also scream. The two sat there screaming for several minutes before realizing how silly it was that they were screaming, and so ceased.
"Hyoka..." sighed Junji tiredly, pulling on some pants as Hyoka squeezed into her dress, "Please... never do that again? I've played Six Nights at Sammy's games that haven't jump scared me that hard..."
"Teehee~ Sorry Jun-Kun~" giggled Hyoka, pulling up a pair of black and white striped thigh highs. Briefly she considered putting on the red jacket she usually wore over her dress, but set it down. It was supposed to be a fairly hot ride to Cuzco and even for a Yuki Onna it might get to be a little much. She did not really know if she could melt, but was not about to chance it. Instead she tossed on a light green shawl that she had bought the day the two had arrived and started doing her excited dance by the door while Junji was still buttoning his shirt.
"Hyocchi..." he sighed, "You do remember you don't have to eat anymore right? Why are you so anxious to get down there?"
Hyoka's beaming smile almost struck Junji dead with how adorable she was when she replied.
"I just love spending time with you~ Also food still tastes good..."
With a renewed vigor, Junji Kagari quickly finished dressing and the two newlyweds made their way downstairs to breakfast. The hotel itself did not serve a complimentary meal, however there was a very nice outdoor restaurant within walking distance that the two had visited every morning so far. The wait staff even recognized them on sight now, and had their drink orders ready. Coffee, extra black, for Junji, and chocolate milk with a bendy straw for Hyoka. As for their breakfast, the pair were both trying something new every day. As they perused the menu, Hyoka blew some bubbles in her milk. When their waiter came by with some bread, Hyoka immediately grabbed a baguette from the platter and began twirling it like a baton.
"What are you doing dear..." sighed Junji in tired amusement.
"Honhonhon oui oui baguette," chortled Hyoka in a terrible French accent, twirling an imaginary mustache.
