Two days later.

Marlena at the mirror as she  wondering if she was dressed okay.

she'd dressed in jeans and a lavender sweater that dipped low enough to reveal just enough cleavage.

John hadn't told her where he was taking her.

Marlena figured this was appropriate enough for most all afternoon dates.

Marlena heard a knock on door and ahe goes and answered it

"Hi.

Marlena said as she opened the door and let john inside.

You look amazing.

John told marlena.

"Thanks.

Marlena said to john.

Are you ready to go?, he asked.

"Yeah and where are we going?.

Marlena asked him.

"You'll see.

John told her.

Do I even get a hint?.

Marlena asked as she following him out the door.

"There's food.

John told her.

"That's not a hint, I knew there would be food yesterday when you told me not to eat lunch.

Marlena tall john as she shut her apartment door and she locks it.

"Well, that's all you're getting from me.

John said to her as they headed to his car.

John slowed the car down and parked it in the middle of an open area of grass.

"This is it.

John told marlena.

"Where are we?.

Marlena asked him as they get out of  the car.

John gets a cooler in the backseat

"Are you okay with walking a little?.

John asked marlena

"Let's walk.

Marlena said as moving closer to john as they fell into step together.

They walked in silence for a few moments before marlena hesitantly reached out to take his free hand in hers, lacing their fingers together.

John stopped as they reached the edge of the cliff.

They looking out over the lake and the view of the city before them.

"Wow, "It's amazing, john.

Marlena said to him.

"I know.

John said.

"So not to bring down the mood or anything, But I was promised food.

Marlena said to john.

"And your date will deliver.

John said to marlena as he set the cooler on the ground.

He reaching into the top half to pull a blanket out.

Marlena watched as john spread the blanket on the ground and sat down,

John reaching for the cooler and unzipping it.
