During all this legal stuff, after three days, despite how busy she was with all this, TestTube requested they move MePhone to her lab, rather than the infirmary, where he had remained basically completely motionless while she got all the legal things dealt with. She would've loved to get started on seeing if he was even fixable, but it was a very busy two weeks before she could.

And so that's where she found herself now, both OJ and Thera-- who still inhabited the MePhone X body standing in the lab with her. During this time, OJ's injuries were definitely getting better, so at least something was going right, but right now, she was finally looking into the out of commission robot's internals to see if she could find the problem.

Thera tapped their foot against the floor as they paced, while OJ was just standing still, leaning carefully against a counter as she did this.

"Say, once we get him fixed up, how about that thing I asked about?"

"What, a new body? Sure. I could probably use the one you're in as a base to make things go along faster." TestTube responded after a few seconds of silence, her focus almost fully on what she was looking through on the laptop she had hooked up to MePhone.

"Cool, great." Thera would be smiling if the body they inhabited allowed it, but instead they just seemed outwardly giddy to show their emotion. OJ looked over at them with a weary smile, honestly glad all of this mostly worked out, and that Thera hadn't been terminated, or that they had turned out to be a massive evil threat to have to deal with like Cobs. Though the whole Thera thing worked out, OJ glanced over at MePhone, his smile fading to a frown. He had been through a lot. There was no telling how badly he was damaged now, especially with his memory process being screwed up big time. OJ still hoped it wouldn't be... Too dire, but... It was hard to hope sometimes. These past few weeks have certainly been stressful.

"Hm." TestTube raised an eyebrow, clicking through more files.

"What?" OJ tilted his head a bit.

"He... His memory files went through a second recovery thing-- probably after whatever happened in the cave, and... Well, almost all of them have been smoothly recovered during the past two weeks."

"Yeah, that's a good thing, right?" Thera asked.

"Well yes, but... Why hasn't he woken up at all? If everything is fine in his systems? He should've woken up by now at least once."

"But... He hasn't..." OJ's expression shifted to worry.

"Right. So that just brings up even more questions." TestTube sighed, shifting her gaze to the unconscious robot. Even with his screen turned off, even if they couldn't see a face to him right now, there was almost a tangible aura of just... 'tired' to him.

Thera just had to wonder if the robot even wanted to wake up.

Or well, that was originally just going to be a simple thought, but they couldn't help but think on it more. Surely he would have woken up by now if he had wanted to, right?

They would be frowning if their body was capable of it. They didn't even know if this was a good thing to suggest to the others either. Robots and their systems were complicated, and weird, and Thera might just be jumping to conclusions.

They'd keep this to themself for now. At least until they were all sure there was no other possibility.

"Try turning him on manually?" OJ shrugged, watching as TestTube set aside her laptop, moving to do exactly that. She moved her hand to his head, pressing the button that was usually covered by his synthetic hair down-- only for nothing.

Not even a start up noise. TestTube made a displeased noise. OJ just sighed, and stood up himself.

"I... Need to head back to the hotel. Please keep me updated if you're able to figure it out? And uh, I'll text you if I get any ideas on how to help, I just don't wanna leave Paper alone to manage stuff for so long, y'know?" OJ moved to the exit, TestTube nodding.
