Today was the day, the only full day that I had with Cori for the next two weeks. Being on holiday with Max, being in the same town as her family and Corinne having to work we aren't really getting a lot of time together. So, for today I booked a yacht for the two of us and we spent the day out on the water.
Max and I went to the shops earlier to get drinks and snacks that Cori would like as well as a bouquet of sunflowers, yellow roses, and daisies.
"You good?" Max asked as we were sitting on the balcony of his hotel room because Cori was getting ready in ours. I nodded, "Ya, I'm good. I'm excited to have a day alone with her," I replied. Max pulled a face and placed a hand on his chest. "Good to know you're not excited to see my face every day."
I rolled my eyes, "You know what I mean." "Yes I do, and you two will have a good time. Just please don't be so loud tonight." He said making me laugh, "I'm so glad that you two are finally together but I don't need to hear my best friend screaming at the top of her lungs while I'm trying to sleep." I nodded, "I'll try my best," I replied not being able to take the smile off my face.
Corinne walked out onto the balcony in a black and white thin-strap dress, "You look beautiful, Meine ewige Liebe," (my forever love) I said pulling her into my arms. "Yes, yes you look amazing Cori, Now would you two leave, I'm long overdue for a found of FIFA," Max said pushing Cori and I towards the door.
We laughed and left his hotel room. "So, what are we doing today?" Cori asked cuddling up to my side as we walked out of the hotel. "Well, hope you remembered to grab your swimsuit, we going out on the water." She squealed and nodded enthusiastically.
Once we were out on the water Cori played soft music and danced around the deck. Two songs later she came and pulled me up to dance with her. I smiled down at the love of my life, "Cori, we've been doing this relationship thing for a few months and I think it's time we actually talked about us."
Cori placed her chin on my chest and we continued to sway to the beat of the music. "Okay, what do you want to talk about?" she asked. "I just want to tell you that you are my world. Cori, I love you with every bit of my heart and soul. I could die happy tomorrow knowing that I had the chance to be with you In this way. I can't think of a moment in my life where I haven't loved you. And we've known each other for 19 years, and for those 19 years you've been my moon and the path that leads me to be the best version of myself."
A single tear rolled down her cheek, She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. I chuckled softly. "You don't need to say anything but... will you do me the great honor of being my girlfriend?"
"Yes," she whispered pulling me down for a kiss. "A million times yes," she added peppering my face with kisses. I kissed her cheek as she pulled back. The captain had taken a photo of us with a smile on his face, "In all my years working with people, showing couples around the waters of my home. I have never seen a more perfect and in-love couple. You remind me of what love us to be like."
